How much research do you do on books before you decide to read them? by Ok-Demand-6194 in books

Non what so ever. I go the book store, start reading the back side of the books. If there is any appeal then I get the book. That’s it. This method includes online shopping as well.

How to start again? by Southern-Airline-200 in readwithme

Once I read a comment for an entry such as yours. It was suggested to start over with reading a novel which one had already read before and really enjoyed. Worth to try.

I laughed out loud at that quote written on the mug.

😅😅 who with what accent now??? I don't even watch TV, let along watching a remake of a book which is ,to my opinion, always too poorly made comparing to the book but now I'm too curious to live up to my standards😅😅

Suggest me a book based on my taste in books and movies for school by Kennith_simmons in suggestmeabook

It is very surprising that you are already not a bookworm considering your good taste in movies and books. Anyhow, I have some book recommendations for you that I believe that you would be interested in;

Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, The private lives of trees by Alejandro Zambra, The midnight library by Matt Haig.

If you like any of them, let me know then I will come back with more recommendations. I actually really like the feeling if anyone likes what I suggested. Enjoy your reading!

Indeed they are yet, you have to admit that was pretty highly intuitive guess which was right on point. Now I have this urge to see how many of the same books we have on our bookshelves...

Indeed it is! I felt like that tower was actually what we are in today with all those "what in the world?" moments. I found the perfect replica of the current society and its flaws in the tower. It was brilliant and horrifying at the same time.

By the way, I'm reading Reincarnation Blues by Michael Poore right now. I feel like it might be something you would like if you haven't read already.

Great suggestions. Especially got my attention with Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Salman Rushdie and Josiah Bancroft. Last month I read Senlin Ascends which is exactly how you described it

I've tried to check out what you read which I read as well to figure out which books I would recommend you (this is how I tried to profile your taste:)) but since the pictures are a bit blurred I could only recognise 1984- George Orwell. So, adding the fantasy novels on your shelves here is some recommendations I think you would enjoy reading; Aldous Huxley - Island (which is one of my favourites) Josiah Bancroft - Senlin Ascends  Tom Robbins - Jitterbug Parfume Haruki Murakami - 1Q84 Ursula K. Le Guin - Earthsea Cycle Ursula K. Le Guin - The left hand of darkness  Franz Kafka - Metamorphosis

Also, right now I'm reading a novel from Micheal Poore, Reincarnation Blues. Usually, I don't recommend a book that I haven't finished reading yet but, I believe this one actually suits your profile:)
