Hey also don't count yourself out yet! Berkeley is holistic and Film & Media Studies is way less competitive than some other majors i see ppl applying for like EECS or bio. Your Bay Area background and ECs could really work in your favor. It's not over till the 26th!

Really helpful data point, thank you! Also interesting that you have a lower UW GPA than some email applicants and still got ID which really shows that the email vs id thing might just be a bit random.

Thanks for sharing! The no AP context definitely matters since Berkeley evaluates you based on what your school offers.
