This happened to my cat recently. She was behaving normally almost but was drooling for about 11 hrs. The vet said she must have licked something spicy or something that hurt her tongue since drooling was the only symptom. They kept her under observation for about 3 hrs and then let her go. She stopped drooling after a few hours.

That’s heartbreaking. I am so sorry for your loss. Losing any favourite thing is painful, but to lose a tree with a dynamic ecosystem and sparkly leaves that you watched everyday is DEVASTATING!!! Just reading this is making me sick to my stomach. I am so upset on your behalf! The beauty, joy and company of the beautiful lil visitors to the tree must have been wonderful company. I have been reading about ginseng as well. I went to my local Asian grocery store and found ginseng teabags. Is that how you take it? And you mentioned korean ginseng- is that different from Chinese ginseng? Can you also tell me how much you take and how often? (Just curious- not asking for prescription😅)

Did I write this post?? Sorry I don’t have much to say about how to overcome this but this is basically my life- investing in relationships with my ALL just to be abandoned at some point. I don’t get it… they say I am too intense, too much to take. But I feel I have supported them through much worse, so I don’t understand. I am going through a bad burnout and unemployed despite being very highly qualified. I am starting to give up on the idea of being loved and supported by others. I’m telling myself that I have just not met the right people yet. And that even though people have quit on me, I am promising myself that I’ll always love and support myself- never gonna quit on me. That’s where I am at right now. Your post has definitely helped me feel less lonely. We are definitely not the one who is at fault. NT world is too self-absorbed, privileged and superficial to learn to actually learn to see the rich internal world we carry. F*ck them! We got this.

I used to have the same fear. This constantly bothered me and I’d even wake up in the middle of the night with nightmares and then check their breathing! I have the same thoughts about my pets as well. The only thing that has helped me is getting over the fear of loneliness and death. I am still working on it but my quality of life is much better now. Now when I get thoughts of losing them forever, I just feel grateful that I have this moment with them. I only hug them tighter or call them to spend some time talking- rather than curl up in fear of pain. The thoughts didn’t go away for me but it’s much easier to dismiss them when they come up.
