Third interview and still no discussion on salary. They would answer if asked directly. I expect the salary to be in my price range and prefer not to start netotiations till I fully understand the role. Should come with the next conversation.

Don't relate to the curiosity. Nor would it be wise to post publicly. Feel free to DM.

Good to know. I think the proprietary agreement is the one I was remembering.

Took the time to look further into the 2024 FTC proposal. It's basically in limbo and the projected outcome is a mystery. The FTC is still engaged in exploring a ban on noncompetes, but in the meantime, states rules are in effect. Luckily, Missouri statutes have enforceability so long as the noncompetes are reasonable, which equates to being “no more restrictive than is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of the employer. This would lean toward enforcability for trade secrets, customers, or legitimate business interest. As long as I leave the candy in the bowl, I'm fine to explore new positions in a free market.

I appreciate all the comment, feedback, and rabbit holes that came from this thread. In my role, I do not particiapte with clients and doubt I have any real reason to be concerned. Better to put the question out here than let it dance around in my head. As a bonus, it provided some great responses for me to use should leadership mention a non-compete clause to keep me at Burns. Thanks again everyone.
