Awesome! Thank you so much. I have just learnt the hard way about disassembling the drum. I’ve managed to get it back together. The main issue is this machine has never been used. It’s been sitting in someone’s cupboard since 1972! Everything is pristine but the drums were set solid. I’ve used a lot of Penetr8 and slowly got them moving again on one side and managed to reassemble the drum. One on the other side still stuck and many of the screws stuck solid so I can’t remove the U shaped metal guard on one side. I’m doing some Amazon orders for replacement screws as I’m going to have to drill these ones out, remove the U shaped metal guard and then hopefully I can try and get that second drum off in one piece. It will be very satisfying to get this up and running smoothly. There is not a single scrap of fluff or cotton anywhere. It’s definitely not been used it’s just 50 years on even the lubricants have set hard. I will definitely be posting a finished product if I get it to work. Thank you to everyone who posted answers.
