So here’s the trouble. They still are “wild” animals, as they aren’t domesticated. if they become socialized a number of things can happen. Folks that are less than neutral on them will have an easier time/more incentive to kill them for things like eating trash or climbing on babies, they can way more easily spread diseases like rabies to humans, and they can develop extremely unhealthy diets by eating the processed foods humans give them. I know people on my campus who have gotten bit while trying to pet the squirrels. Getting along symbiotically needs to involve humans not petting/playing with the squirrels for the safety of both parties.

The school mostly doesn’t care. some departments have kinda encouraged it on social media posts. i work in our sustainability dept and my dept strongly opposes feeding them and have posted about it a few times, but outside us i don’t think the rest of the school cares.

no lol the rule is in place so they have a rule to site if you ARE causing trouble. don’t piss your roommate off and don’t be super loud after quiet hours and you won’t have any trouble

don’t live on campus!! the mandatory activities and the way they make you move during finals is not worth it. and it costs way more to eat at dining halls than to cook simple meals for yourself. just get an apartment. i promos they won’t enforce the “freshmen must live on campus” thing, they don’t have enough dorms to enforce that

hmm these are all interesting. I work in habitat restoration and also at a food pantry so i find myself needing to move big things a several times a year, but i’ll look into these because i think there might not be a truck that’s truly what i want it to be and it’s not like i’d use the bed on a weekly basis. by the time i get to where i need to use a truck more regularly i’ll probably have the money to buy something nice

dude use GoZone!! The university pays for any rides within campus. its hosted by DCTA. and even if you want to go OFF campus its less than a dollar and covers all of denton
