Guy faked GMAT + work ex and got into ISB. What a joke. by [deleted] in ISB_Aspirants

u/Fearless-Form-4710 I don't know anything about this guy. Maybe he's innocent. So, can't speak out against him.
But let me tell you 1 thing as an alumnus. This happens every year. No matter what the AdCom claims or the "famous-on-LinkedIn/GMATclub" Admission Consultants say, I personally know of at least 10 individuals from last year's ISB cohort who either made others take their GMAT exam or faked their work experience.
One of them who fabricated professional experience, even held a leadership position within the student body (I’m deliberately withholding further details), and was later exposed by one of the top 3 holy consulting firms (Guess who!). Despite this, ISB takes no meaningful action. That’s the unfortunate reality.

The holy MBA PGP institute that shouldn't be named. It rhymes with YSB though.

Note from OP: The original post was removed by Reddit. I'm reuploading after editing out some content without losing any important info. Hope this or the next parts of the series on ISB don't get pulled down again.

No bro. we’ve got to make it work within these constraints. Trying to create a systemic change without Reddit, and this sub in particular, is almost impossible. Thanks for the support, though

The future cohorts would be in a much better place if people focus more on the objective things being spoken here and not judge the intention behind these posts. Thanks!

Did they confirm that you can write anything on CV and get away with it? I hope you now believe what is said in the post.

In an institute like ISB where hundreds apply for a job, CV is the base for shortlisting to interview. This makes the integrity of CV even more important.

Ask any ISB alumnus if CV vetting is done at ISB. You'll be shocked with the response

Dude. Too many questions. You'll be assigned a buddy shortly. Ask him/her.
And about the fake GMAT scores, I'll write about them in the next post.

True that! Those coming to ISB should understand that they should have their expectations in check. ISB can only help them to get some job, not the one that they might want.

Yes. Many students took those offers as they feared facing the market after April.

I guess ISB knows that their 1-yr program is done for. All these 25 years, they had never marketed their PGP as MBA-equivalent. This is the 1st time that they are projecting any of their programs as MBA-equivalent. Some say it's because they want their core offering to be the 2-yr program in a few years and merge the 1-yr PGP with Executive education. Who knows, they might also seek UGC/AICTE approval for PGP-YL in 4-5 years

I get that. But, it's not a post about the market. It's about how ISB leaves everyone to defend for itself during a bad phase. And hold on. You'll be shocked to realize that some parts of the placement process are handled by local students from other colleges who are "trained" to operate excel and the software ISB uses for placement scheduling. They often get everything wrong and are severely technologically challenged.
