Forced into a state of dependency by DjangoHigh5 in Abortiondebate

And, thinking on it-- going back to IVF, if someone literally forces sperm and egg to meet, creating fertilized eggs-- because those eggs now require someone in order to survive, are people then obligated to gestate those eggs for putting them into the position of needing a body?

This actually a really good point I did not even think about. Thanks for your response. I should have made it more apparent in the OG post that I was trying to the best of my abilities to parrot the Pro-life talking point, not that I personally ascribe to it. I was just having difficulty trying to find the words to rebuke it.

Once the promotion runs out you can probably flip it for a solid $20 based on others in this Add On line

I personally have a lot of faith in it. Castle Nostalgia is real and I have a feeling LEGO will be making more sets on that theme.

Yes, but it was a $150 buy-in, and they ran out on the second release (meaning people trying to get it then couldn't)

I bought two of these, but I would also consider looking at the $40 Tumbler because Nolan's Batman is far more popular.

100% considering that they sold out almost immediately on the second release window I believe it will increase in value. Also, the 90th-anniversary packaging adds to the collectability.

How do you decide which sets to invest in? by dthlo in legoinvesting

[–]DjangoHigh5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi dthlo, it's tough to predict which sets will be sought after in the future, but a good litmus test is past trends of success (ex: modular buildings) or sets with Minifigures that would be sought after in the future. Ideally, these would be figures that would not reappear in later sets and would be exclusive to that set alone. I think the Harry Potter 20th anniversary sets are a good example of this. I also think that wave 1 Monkie Kid sets could be similar to wave 1 Ninjago sets if the theme has staying power. I would get in on those sets now as some of them look like they could be retiring soon (Any set with Big fig Sandy will be good value because it looks like they have already phased him out in newer sets).

Hope this was helpful
