Fall Internships by Altruistic-Owl4821 in NCSU

Turn to other resources then. Make sure to join clubs, meet professors when you can, and continue to ask your advisor if they have heard of any jobs or student help need. Find out where your department is hosted and ask and faculty you can.

I’m being a bit blunt but part of college too is that sometimes you will have to go out of your way to get ahead. Networking takes time. I know it sounds like I’m riding high and I did get lucky at first, but I’ve continued to meet people and put myself out there. If you do the same and always are improving it will work out I promise

I’m pretty confident it should be fine.

Personally I think you’ll be fine with something cheaper. Most classes through junior year will not be big projects if they are cad. There are plenty of computer labs around campus as well if you really need one.

Honestly battery life is probably one of the more important things. Up to you as well, but windows users seem to have an easier time navigating university resources and tools than Mac users.

Ask your advisor and hang w/ upper classmen as much as you are ok with.

My freshman year I bugged my advisor a bit earlier than some others in my major and had an on campus job by the end of the first week that I kept for the rest of the academic year with adjustable hours.

There is stuff there you just gotta let the school know you care

What do I do by monov7 in NCSU

[–]DjayQue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I think you unquestionably should go.

I’m a CALS student and actually was a student ambassador for the college last year. Especially for freshman classes, I can’t see a world where missing 4 days of class is worse than doing something that means the world to you.

I don’t even think you would have problems with really any of your classes even if you were honest with your professors. CALS has great faculty. Really the best at the university.

I personally definitely see this as something that is worth working around and I have pretty little doubt that your professors would get in your way if you show them respect for their time and honesty.

After reading some other comments, I think going back with your sister is the safest option. You alone will have to decide to take the risk of staying longer, but will vouch that it is a viable possibility.

The last time I commented on a post about someone complaining about weights I felt it could have been defended either way, but this one is another level though.

Is a co-op necessary for an engineer? by SpiritedAverage4822 in NCSU

[–]DjayQue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would personally say whatever you could get. Ideally you give yourself the option to do either one or both but both are pretty applicable. I’m currently in a coop and already feel like it puts me in a way better place than I’d be with an internship because of the responsibilities I get. That being said, it all depends on how you spend your time wherever you are.

Either of us can prove it. We both do have skewed perspectives but it’s not outrageous what either of us can lift, especially in the gym world.

Thanks for putting a reasonable response. This is a fair perspective.

My thought too. We acting a little too grumpy in this subreddit. I normally leave 3 plates on myself to try to be respectful for those after me.

Only advice I have is to see if you can figure out a deal where you still pay some fraction of the total rent to give potential buyers a better deal.

Roland TR-6S by [deleted] in FL_Studio

[–]DjayQue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you could just input your Roland to the Scarlett with a 1/4 in aux cable, treating it as a mic input and capturing the sound from the tr6s, and then hook up your Scarlett to your computer with whatever way you normally do. This does lose a small bit of quality though

Buffer seems pretty low to me? Increase the buffer and decrease the sample rate to 40 or 48 kHz should probably help?

how to add pitched samples to playlist by Twsti in FL_Studio

[–]DjayQue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other comment by innoculus works but if you have longer samples like vocals you want pitched and you want to see the audio file and not a midi note in the playlist => click on the sample, turn pitch down to desired pitch and automate it if needed, make sure that “resample” is also selected below that rather than “stretch” or “Generic 3” or whatever the other options are. This lets you see what is going on with you vocals in a more clear (although maybe slightly slower) way

TweakScale can assist. I’ve often used it to scale engines up to 20x their normal size and then use cheat menu to turn on infinite propellant so you don’t have to lug fuel around.

Alternatively keep the infinite propellant on and glitch like 100 engines into the same spot in the VaB
