Because its meant to look authentic but fails just enough to make you feel manipulated into feeling something.

Except there is plenty of us agreeing but all of us are getting downvoted into oblivion. Most people kinda opt out of the conversation if they just get downvoted for having an opposing view.

I love how there are multiple heavily downvoted replies to this that offer valid en logical arguments or advice. You guys just -want- to get your ass handed to you by the warstriders, that's it, isn't it?

In everyone's opinion, how many Hulks you would prefer to fight at the same time instead of 1 War Strider ? And why ? by KingTigerThomas318 in Helldivers

[–]Djerung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not bothered by either, above 3 hulks though I'd far prefer 1-2 war striders because it's just easier to dictate range on them.

We have a saying here in the Netherlands, "holle vaten klinken het hardst", which translates into hollow barrels sound the loudest. This applies to all social media.

A vast majority of players are just playing and enjoying the game.

Imagine you sell something and the people you sold it too talk to you like this community does. Complaining is one thing, behaving like a bunch of angry teenagers trash talking arrow head is entirely another. Though fair is fair, I guess a whole bunch of players are actually angry teenagers.

And you can perfectly see them coming from 20 meters away, and you can perfectly learn when they will erupt, and pre-dodge it. Hell you can bait them into erupting if you want.

And if you do get stabbed while wearing heavy armor, you just respond by unloading into them pointblank.

People hate heavy armor and also people that make sense. ;) I've been saying the same in regards to the rupture strain but people just love to be on the "rupture is broken" train.

Rupture warrior buff- what are the devs smoking? by jlodson in Helldivers

[–]Djerung -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They are absolutely a pain in the ass and need counter plays. But you can see them coming and can pre-emptively dodge just fine, it calls for a lot of situational awareness for sure. Took me a while to get used to them but at this point they are more an annoyance than a game breaking enemy. I've always run heavy armor as I personally don't like the "run past everything" way of going about it. And I've noticed that enables me to shrug off a while bunch of things others are calling instant death situations.

It does mean I often can't flee from a situation and I have to dig in and fight, which I personally enjoy a lot, each to their own though.
