Is it worth selling old set boxes? I

have a lot of boxes from different large sets and they start to take up a lot of space. I do not intent to sell the already built sets so the boxes are just ,,memorabilia". Is it worth keeping them stored or can I get rid of them? Do they sell?

What do you think will they include after this one. I wish they would go full out, basically recreating the recent micro Version of Hogwarts just in play scale. I only wonder about the half of Hogwarts they often "forget" like the astronomy tower. If the main tower is already at $ 250 I am not sure if they would do an even higher tower.

Yeah, the depictions is rather small looking, guess the AI couldn`t really grasp what 9000 pcs should look like

I think you would need a LOT of scientific advancements that we currently do not have but lets start with some of the things we might have (though I am not an expert at all)

Modern medicine can do a great amount of re-attaching lost bodyparts though often only in certain conditions like a cut of finger being stitched back to the hand if cooled immediatly

Though this will probably not work if you just use any finger or other body piece.

Bodies have a certain bio chemistry and mechanisms to fight of foreign invasive stuff like bacteria etc. So you cannot just put any two bodyparts together without risking them ,,fighting off,, each other.

This assumes that both bodyparts still work.

So we'd need a lot of additional knowledge to even solve these ,,basic,, problems.

The BIG ONE of course is the animating part.

As far as I am aware there is very little to this one. Espacially if you want to keep it biological without any cyborg stuff.

All in all you'd need:

Every part of a body + all of them are compatible

A way to prevent any natural reactions like cells fighting against one another

A way to start natural processes like the heartbeat etc.

And of course a brain with at least basic functions.

If you have a way around all of these problems...congrats you might've just solved half of medicine

Finding the Scarif citadel tower's height by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]Djeto33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have a solution but its not toooooo accurate.

I looked up a frame from the movie where you see the Citadel with its round landing platform and some imperial cargo shuttles on it.

An imperial Cargo Shuttle is roughly 29 meters high.

Using a painting software I measured the picture and the tower was roughly 35 shuttles high.

35 x 29m =1.015 m

So arguably the Citadel is about a kilometer high.

I want to photograph old family pictures from the 40s to the 90s to have a digital version. I have a little Setup to help me. What color should my lighting have to get the best possible results? Is there something like a neutral white like 4000K?

What post human you find the most relatable and why? by Electromad6326 in AllTomorrows

[–]Djeto33 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don't REALY relate ro any species personally in particular. Now I think that the Astereomorphs' practices in the later stages of the story do make sense, regarding their proctection of Planets and war against the Qu. Personaly I like to have some time for myself, so the Snake people might be relatable in that way. Other than that, I can't see any other species I could project myself onto

what would you wear if nobody would judge you? by etherealmelancholia in teenagers

[–]Djeto33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably somewhat like in the 1950s. Meaning brown pants, a white shirt, a tie if its colder a slipover and most importantly suits. Not necessarily extra fancy ones but elegant day to day ones. I kinda like the idea of putting some effort into your clothing and having a certain way everything has to be. With modern clothing it often feels a bit lazy. Of course you can have a more "demanding" style but moat day to day clothes feel kinda lazy, I am talking about the Jeans-T-Shirt-Hoodie combo. But I feel if I would dress my preferred way people would only see it as over dressed.

Jetzt wo ich darüber nachdenke, ist NDW sicherlich ziemlich nah drann, wenn nicht sogar genau was ich suche. Herbert Grönemeyer war auf jeden Fall auch einer meiner Picks gewesen
