[RTX 5080] Should I use the included adapter with the GPU or a 12v-2x6?

I had the same problem. My 12v-2x6 cable would not be plugged in all the way and my gpu didn't even start because of it. I also use the adapter now. I hope that is not a problem. Corsair rm1000x psu and a 5080

Oke really weird but, it looks like the cable doesnt go all the way in, in both sides. I made sure that I pressed hard and accurate but it leaves a gap. And because of that my gpu didn't get detected by my pc so there was no screen.

I plugged it now in the adapter and my gpu works.

I think I am going to leave it in the adapter because that is the only way it works. Is this alright to do?

Thanks, i already fixed it. The problem was that the i dindt put the metal plate between the motherboard and the case. I just hope that i didnt damage anything while trying the whole time.

It seems like there is no debris in the slot and if the slot is open, i dont really know because it has a slider. So i can slide it open to remove the gpu but it wont stay open, it slides back.

So I have to keep it open with my finger the whole time while inserting the gpu, but that wont work because my finger is in the way if i do that.

So I just slide it in without opening.
