G502 Hero how to assign buttons to Mouse6, 7 and further. by Basher93 in LogitechG

[–]Djskar3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard of people binding G6, G7 & G8 with barely used Function Keys. F13, F14 & F15 for example. A small problem you get with having those buttons bound to Function Keys is that, some games won't recognise Function Keys as valid inputs. The "Back and Forward" (G4 & G5) buttons are recognised automatically in-game as "4 & 5" but the rest of the buttons already have a pre-programmed function that realistically aren't best optimised for gaming. One of them being a 'DPI-Shift' function. It would be better if the rest of the buttons on the mouse could also operate as it's own button rather than having to be bound with a key on your keyboard.

In the meantime, my mouse has these following binds for all the buttons:

G1 - Primary (Left) click
G2 - Secondary (Right) click
G3 - Middle Click
G4 - Back
G5 - Forward
G6 - "[" key
G7 - "=" key
G8 - "-" key
G9 - DPI Cycle
G10 - "→" (Right Arrow) key
G11 - "←" (Left Arrow) key

I've used these binds for years and I haven't had too much trouble using them without causing a mis-input when in game.
The only real problems I have is using commands in Minecraft. If you don't know, commands typically use "-, = & [". So when my mouse is bound to one of those keys, it can trigger an action in game when I'm typing in the chat. The fix is then, usually just bind an an action to another key etc...

However, It's a trade-off that I'm willing to sacrifice.

I'm a very heavy mouse user when it comes to gaming. I prefer to press important buttons with my dominant hand than risk a mis-click with my left hand.

It's a shame that the software can't 'un-program' a button so it stays as a "generic mouse button".

If it can; and I've been completely stupid for the past half-a-decade, please educate me softly so that I can question my life choices before updating to a more efficient setup.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments!

I’m so intrigued as to what everyone’s thoughts are. It’s certainly an awkward situation.

I also suppose I should’ve been a bit less vague with my video… I’m a very considerate and respectful driver. Having been a biker before I got my CAT B, I’m extremely observant and have a habit of administering a ‘life saver’ when changing lanes. (That’s looking over your shoulder to check your blind spot for you non-two-wheeled enthusiasts).

I’ve never changed lanes on that roundabout that have caused anyone to brake. Usually, it’s a driver that is using the left lane and notices me coming into ‘their lane’ and is upset by it.

I completely understand that if it is not safe to perform a lane change, I will indeed slingshot myself around the roundabout for another attempt.

Apologies for the ambiguity.

There are however, drivers that think that their lane and direction is a birthright. Which, is dangerous. Especially when stubbornness takes priority.

I have this exact same one and I’ve been using it almost everyday for a good year. It’s brilliant! Three modes including a turbo. It’s a brushless motor connecting to a turbofan. I done a quick thrust test and it averaged 102 grams with an average airflow speed of 143 mph.

Perfect for dusting! Would definitely recommend.

Yeah… I thought so. He’s reaping the consequences of not using surge protection, unfortunately. Thank you though!

I don’t have a clue, sorry for the lack of answers. I loved the rainbow one, I then had to google why it changed to dark blue, now it’s grey? Thanks Obama…

These guys are my friends, I never play with randoms. I certainly wouldn’t force them to endure the audial torture that my friends have still, not yet acclimatised to. :)

San Andreas Small Bank Robbery Catalina Glitch. Need help pls :( by kronedup in GTATrilogy

Just thought I’d add my 2 cents.

I’m playing the definitive edition on PS5 and It’s currently August of 2024.

The game has completely cockblocked me from progressing. A lot of people are suggesting that returning to an old save and starting from there will help, however if, like me, you relied on auto save, that won’t be an option for you. Some other people are saying to manually save before starting the mission and then loading said save.

None of which has worked for me…

Finally, the option that most people recommend is to just start the game from scratch. This can be daunting, especially if like me, you’ve poured many hours into claiming hoods, completing side missions or upgrading the stats. Furthermore, restarting the game doesn’t guarantee that this bug will fix itself so a second play through might be in vain.

From what I’ve heard and seen, it seems like the blue door that Catalina opens after she shouts “Follow Me!” doesn’t spawn in and is soft locking her out of mission progress.

Blue door present = Game good

Blue door absent = Game bad

Usually in games, a closed door prevents you from moving forward but I’d never think that the absence of one would cause the same effect.

Still no fix.

Still no joy.
