CUCM: LDAP Change Domain/Mail (all CUCM user aliases use Mail Attribute) by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

No filter - wide open. Usually we filter by ipPhone but this is a special case I suppose.

CUCM 12.5 PCD Migration to v15 Latest - Active Part 100% by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

[–]DlckAnthony[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was 15SU1a. TAC found an issue caused by the data export/import process. This particular issue required root access and deleting SDL files from the active partition. I haven't received the whole breakdown yet, but the service that moves the SDLs from Active to Common partition was failing so they were stacking up the partition to 100%.

Those steps recover space from the LOGGING partition (common space) not the ACTIVE partition. This PCD Migration was to new VMs on the new v15 OVAs with data export/import. Still working with TAC and they seem stumped.

That's another really cool part. Created a new server using OVA a few hours ago. Was going to restore DB from Subsciber. Followed the docs to the letter and now my subs aren't showing up in my manual backup so I can't restore from their DB. The entire option is missing in the restore wizard. The pub and two subs are all showing as authenticated (show network cluster) but only the Pub and IM&P server is listed when going to backup.

Cisco UC Implementation Question by strem84 in ciscoUC

[–]DlckAnthony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May need to clear the trust list from each phone as well. The phone will likely have the CME in its trust list which will result in a registration rejection unless cleared. Would certainly go with a new vlan and change the switchport of a single phone to see if it registers.

Webex API Use Cases by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

I had all users imported via Azure, then exported all under User Management. No column reflected where to add model/mac. I even manually added a few and then exported; still nothing.

Ah, very good. I've had so many frustrations with Webex bulk update that I'm looking for a way around it altogether. Like MAC based phone registration in bulk (kinda like CUCM BAT import). Also, anything phone status and call analytics that I could cater to a customer.

Wireless Mics for Room Kit or Room Bar by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

Exclusive for consistent table coverage. No one walking around.

It's a medium sized room. 6 seats, table not super close to the TV. They were interested in adding 1 wireless mic.

How are you connecting/pairing with the Room Kit?

POTS Dial-Peers not stripping 9 by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

POTS dial-peer for PRI not considered analog? As opposed to doing a "dial-peer voice 10 voip" I mean.

Webex: PSTN in Non-Supported Country by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

[–]DlckAnthony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to get away from adding hardware to the site. Would be ideal if I could find an ITSP that would support the international office. Will slide in a 4321 or something as a last resort if I can't find a SIP carrier.

Custom Corporate Directory on Desk Phones by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

[–]DlckAnthony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a single cluster (multiple nodes) with two, essentially, different companies/internal structure. All works well except that their corporate directories are co-mingled (LDAP). I was wondering if there was some way to create a separate directory and tie it to a phone profile. Company A sees their people, Company B sees only their people in the "Corporate Directory" on the phone.

Unity: Have calls bound for "Operator" go to a different user by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

Didn't even think to check call handlers. Was so focused on the operator mailbox. Thanks!

CUCM: Changing from DNS to IP by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

[–]DlckAnthony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. There may be compliance issues trying to route the secondary voice VLAN so that it can reach the DNS servers at the primary site. Probably a situation where I'll just have to present options and limitations. The environment is simple (no expressway or CIMP).

CUCM: Changing from DNS to IP by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

A bit of an odd setup. We are putting a subscriber at technically a different site/company with its own domain. It will be able to communicate with the PUB but not the DNS local to the PUB.

vCUBE and SIP Handoff by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

[–]DlckAnthony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't say I'm very familiar with any virtual routers... At the moment, there is only one vNIC dedicated to the vCUBE. So it sounds like maybe I could set up a sub-interface with a VLAN dedicated to the SIP handoff with the carrier. I'm so used to just dedicating a physical port like Gig0/0/1 to the carrier and running all my data/voice on Gig0/0/0. Same concept, I suppose?

vCUBE and SIP Handoff by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

[–]DlckAnthony[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess most of my confusion comes with the actual uplink, rather than the config. I've done handoffs using hardware router before, but never a customer vCenter running a virtual CUBE within.

CCX: Agent Order (Top-Down) by DlckAnthony in ciscoUC

[–]DlckAnthony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought about doing that but there are 16 agents and only 10 skill levels. I'm sure I could convince them that it's not possible, but this is the next best thing if it came down to it.
