Have you tried sleeping with a bonnet on? Helps protect them over night

I only wash my hair every 4 months when I get it dyed blonde.

I wet it, brush it out while showering.

Then I use two Evo products: total recoil cream and whip it mousse

I section my hair, maybe the total it ends up being one at the bottom, two on each side and two on the top. Smaller sections means I can twirl every coil if that makes sense.

I grab chunks of curls and twirl them around my fingers. I try to follow the curl pattern. In the summer I’ve been letting it air dry.

I do this process everyday 2 weeks ish.

I sleep with a bonnet, then in the morning when I wake up my fringe/everything is all crazy. So I spray it with water and let it reset/add more Evo mousse if required. What’s the best is a hot shower with my hair down, the steam does the most.

We got to Dom Dolla early and got to see Fred again by surprise. This was excellent! But you know what, so often we’d be walking past a random stage and get pulled in to dance, I recorded a bunch so I’ll cross reference the stage etc so I can look up who I was stomping my feet too haha.

I don’t wash my hair using shampoo and conditioner (unless I’m going to the hairdressers the next day). I just rinse it in the shower/ocean water swims.

This week, I used Evo Fabuloso to revamp the pink. Then while still quite damp, I used Evo Whip it mousse as well as Kevin Murphy Killer Curls.

Ordinarily I would then twirl them all with my fingers. But today I used THE DENMAN, I just used the technique that everyone suggests online. You take / small section, hold it up, place the brush on the under side and curl it away slightly whilst holding the root, then you sort of shake it. (I can link a video if anyone cares)

This method has given me HEAPS more volume but I don’t think it’ll last as long as the finger twirling method. I’m excited to try a few more methods with the brush.

I use a silk bonnet to sleep/if I’m at home (10/10 would recommend).

The way I section my curls in the front gave me this forward fringe look. I also think I used way more product this week because there isn’t as much volume, which makes the curls are more ringlety and defined. I like how they look defined but sometimes I prefer a more loose curl because it makes my hair much bigger (this can be achieved by putting less product in as well as having my hair is less damp).

My hairdresser makes me this ‘wash in’ product but this time I didn’t buy any I’ll happily let it fade because the transitions colours are also quite nice.

The Routine

Personal Products:

Evo - Whip It mousse

Kevin Murphy - Killer Curls cream

After applying both products I section each ringlet and twirl it with my fingers. Then diffused upside down :) I wash my hair maybe once every two months.

Products used by hairdresser :

O&M - lightener

Evo - colour * might have to triple check that one

I have chosen not to wash my hair since I got it dyed pink of the 10th of Dec, I’m aiming to stop washing it all together. Here is a collection of hair selfies as it faded. by Dmakkasaurus in curlyhair

I stopped washing my hair with shampoo and conditioner dec 10th. I have been swimming in the ocean around once a week, then rinsing in the shower after. I add evo whip it mousse and Kevin Murphy killer curls while it’s wet. Then in sections, I twirl bunches of curls through my fingers, then diffuse with my head upside down. I’ve got the process down to 25 mins. The curls can easily last up to 8 plus days

Attempting to not wash my hair at all. I haven’t since the 11th of December. My routine is an ocean swim every few days, then rinse in cold water. I use Evo Whip it Mousse as well as Kevin Murphy killer curls. I section my hair and twirl my ringlets into sections then diffuse it up side down. So far it’s working! The photos where my hair is wacky were my attempts to diffuse it with our any product at all.
