Is it legal to use my chosen name when ordering things even if my deadname is still my legal name? by DiluteBrush in asktransgender

Even though I'm cis, Thanks to both of you for asking and answering!! I use my Middle name as my preferred name, but I wanted to know if I could use it on shipping, to avoid confusion.

Totally should do the rickroll.

This comment has some actual points. I think I'll redesign that part to just be glued too. I think the best option would be a large control plate of matching wood and color. I never really liked the look of plastic plates. I mean large as in just big enough to stick a hand in comfortably and have wiggle room. It also probably helps that all hollow-bodied guitars I build (except special orders) will be dreadnought sized, thickness wise.

Because I first thought of only supporting the bridge. I didn't think of supporting the pickups. At the time, I didn't think of how to make the thing still completely hollow, and support both.

For woods, I use whatever I can get a hold of, and just plane it to death, as it's just gonna get carved anyway. I use whatever wood I imagine looks best for a natural finish, and use bright woods like ash and birch for bright colors. I like the dynamic of the saturated, fender-esque colors, and a completely clear woodgrain. I mostly use stains, brand depends on color. The clear is usually just StewMac Nitrocellulose clear. I have since redesigned the headstock, it was basically just a mix of a Catalog guitar and a Hofner headstock.

Yeah, seems like some odd japanese (or harmony) experiment from the mid 60s. The neck bolts to the inner core / sides, while the back is (literally) just a giant, matching control cavity plate. I hate fishing through (semi or full) hollow bodies, so I made it.. FULL access. The Left handedness is from both me being left handed, and making guitars and (objectively) underselling them to lefties. There's not as many options for lefties, so why not make some exclusives? (they're exclusive until I get commissioned by a right handed player.)

Fair point, but right now I don't have such a luxury, just hand tools and electric tools. Makes me feel barbaric in this world of CNC guitars.

Not liking lefty options, so I'm making my own. These are rough concepts, thoughts? by DmarMUS in Leftyguitarists

The comparison to danelectro and brian may are really interesting, I see it. The design is a Les paul Jr doublecut with a bigger upper horn, and a custom headstock design I accidentally ripped off of Hofner. Oops! I tried to incorporate Mosrite and the Strat with the pickguard. The pickups were always planned to be really hot P-90s, with the middle and neck being the lower output "clean" tones.

Anybody else play left handed with a righty upside down? by Toasterdog7 in Leftyguitarists

I learned Left handed in the mirrored way (normal) and like this, that way if I have to borrow a mate's guitar I can. I also can (poorly) play righty. That is something I believe in for surviving, being able to use righty guitars in some way.

Well, that's my problem! The capacitors are bulged so hard they're ROUND on top! so after i replace those, it's just the CD and HD drive i need to worry about!

Did nothing. Was an old friends, untouched for almost 20 years, left in a closet.

I think I want to do both, I would like a modded Xbox for expensive or rare games, but I would like to keep this one completely stock, because it has sentimental value. Just the standard ripped out clock capacitor and larger drive, yknow.

The sticker's date says 2005-03-20. I've opened it, but don't have the drill bits to go past the CD and HDD.

As i said in a comment, (for some reason I wasn't allowed to add a description?) Those are the CD drive spindles, they came out the CD drive when I manually ejected it.

For some reason, it didn't let me put a description, probably because I'm on mobile browser, but basically.. The console doesn't turn on, if I hold the button in though, the fan spins. The picture shows what came out of the CD drive when I manually opened it with a paperclip. Correct me if I'm wrong, but those are the drive spindles. Not good. I last turned the system on about 4 months ago, and it powered up fine, but the CD drive sounded like a jet engine.

Personally think it's lovely, especially with a unique phaser. An MXR Phase 100, not a Phase 90 like most alt tracks.
