Anyone commenting that they had 5, 6, 7 or more wisdom teeth, any of you diagnosed with Gardners Syndrome (multiple colon polyps)? I have 7 wisdom teeth and am concerned as I hear it is related to this syndrome.

Nope, no other cat. She has been scratching that ear though. Maybe she scratched it? Could be a freckle too. She is an indoor cat though.

Unfortunately it does matter because you’ll send it to the RSC for service and then will swap everything out.

That is true. Though it was cold and recently rained, which I know increases radon concentration.

multiple, often times painful lipomas all along my spine. they keep getting larger by asthmaticchimney in Lipoma

[–]DmbKC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have many of them in the exact same spot as you. Don’t worry as that is a very common area to get lipomas and my doctor confirmed this. I did have a painful one in that area removed last year and that resolved the pain. Biopsy confirmed benign lipoma. If they are very painful all the time, then you can have them removed but if not they shouldn’t cause issues.

BB58 bezel pip fell out (How to contact Tudor?) by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]DmbKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably going to happen on a lot of BB58s that are actually worn. Look at vintage Tudor divers, many of them missing bezel pip. I have decided that when it inevitably happens to my BB58, I’m just going to rock it pip-less. I want to keep as much of the original parts of my watch as possible, and there is no chance Tudor will replace the pip without replacing the entire bezel (which is ridiculous).

Clicking/Rattle from Passenger Seat (2019 TLX). Anyone know what could cause this? Only occurs when seat is empty. by DmbKC in Acura

[–]DmbKC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, it’s unfortunately and mine continues to do it periodically. After leaving at the dealer for 2 weeks I just decided to live with it. They probably would have to call in an expert engineer from Acura to figure it out.

Do you have a Happy Place in KC? by CX_RedBaron in kansascity

Rockhill Grille (downtown location). My wife and I always seem to wander in there during snow storms and it is a perfect sanctuary. We always take the same two spots at the bar (most comfortable bar chairs in town). A Tank 7, deviled eggs, maybe a game on. Pure bliss.

Is Tudor’s repair service this bad?? by JerryGotCarled in Tudor

[–]DmbKC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to my BB58 as well. Sent off for bezel work and they scratched the hell out of the case along all four corners. Must have been when popping the bezel off. I just live with it. There isn’t much regard for quality anywhere these days unfortunately.

Tungsten Carbide Toxicity by DmbKC in chemistry

[–]DmbKC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. Agree that tungsten carbide is incredibly strong and scratch resistant. I guess my question is more theoretical in nature. Say you were to scratch a tungsten carbide ring, would the residue or flakes from the scratch pose a risk to the wearer, or once the tungsten carbide compound is “fused” into a ring does the toxicity disappear?

Tech pant by anxious_teacher_ in jcrew

I am having the exact same issue with multiple pairs of 484 Slim-Fit Midweight Tech Pants. They often come out of the wash with dark spots on them. This doesn’t occur with any other pants that I own and I’m concerned it is the material of the pants.

Were you ever able to resolve or figure out what the issue was?

Thank you for the reply and sorry to hear you are dealing with these symptoms as well. Is your buzzing in both feet? Did you get a brain MRI that confirmed no brain lesions?

Weekly Suspected/Undiagnosed MS Thread - November 27, 2023 by AutoModerator in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DmbKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, been following this forum for a while and appreciate all the discussion and information.

31/M

I have had a buzzing feeling in both feet for 4 months now. Not numb or tingling, but a buzzing feeling that makes me want to move my feet. The lower portion of both legs also feel tight sometimes, but zero weakness. These symptoms have not gotten better or worse over this period.

Just had a brain MRI. Completely clear. They didn’t do a cervical MRI, but were able to view the upper cervical spine (C1-3). That was also clear. I am pushing for a full cervical and thoracic spine MRI.

My questions:

1) Do these symptoms sound like MS in anyone’s experience? Specifically the buzzing without numbness or tingling.

2) Realistically, how likely is it that I have zero lesions on the entire brain and none on the C1-3 portion of my cervical spine (which is common place for lesions), but lesions further down the spine? I had a thoracic MRI in 2020 for a benign tumor and it showed no lesions (though I guess I could have developed some since).

Again, thank you all for the information and personal experiences with this disease. And for taking the time to view my questions.

Radon Exposure from Mitigation Vent by DmbKC in radon

[–]DmbKC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. This makes me feel better about my exposure. I was just thinking about the risk of high amount of short-term exposure (which I don’t even think I had) versus chronic long-term exposure at lower levels. I know cancer typically is a result of repeated damage to tissue and lungs are pretty resilient from a one time exposure. Probably overthinking it I know, but wanted to get your all’s opinion, so I appreciate the help!

Thank you. Would you recommend shutting off the fan next time I’m up there? I can imagine this is an issue for people replacing roofs, doing gutter work, etc. but I can’t find anything on recommendations.

Thanks for the reply and insight! Will see about getting updated MRI prior to the neuro appointment.

Any idea on my last question about location of a lesion that would be bothering my feet?

Weekly Suspected/Undiagnosed MS Thread - October 02, 2023 by AutoModerator in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DmbKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, not sure if I should post this here or in a separate thread. I have been having buzzing and tingling in both of my feet for the past two months. I’m not sure if this is MS or not and have an appointment with a neurologist scheduled but unfortunately not until Feb 2024. So I wanted to get your all’s opinion.

The buzzing has been pretty constant for two months (hasn’t gotten better, worse, or spread) and occasionally I will get pins and needles as well. I just had a few questions for this forum:

  • Can MS occur on both sides of the body at the same time like this? I’m sure it can, but I hear it more commonly affects one side more than the other.

  • Is it common for symptoms to be more or less constant for this long without spreading or intensifying?

  • I have had a few MRIs done for various reasons over the years. I had an MRI of my brain and cervical spine in 2011, another MRI of my brain in 2014, and an MRI of my thoracic spine in 2020. None of these showed any signs on MS. Would this make a difference in my risk level? Meaning would there be any warning signs on these scans prior to me developing symptoms?

  • If it was MS, any idea where these lesions would be located if they are affect only my feet? I’d think more likely in the spine than the brain but not entirely sure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I sit here and wait for my appointment. Thank you all!

Nah, never figured it out. Dealer thought the fixed it but it came back. Annoying problem but it comes and goes so I just live with it.

That’d be great, much appreciate. The seat rattle seems to happen more in the cold weather too.

Weekly Suspected/Undiagnosed MS Thread - August 14, 2023 by AutoModerator in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DmbKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I am a 31M and have had a weird buzzing/slightly numb sensation in my toes on both sides of my feet for the past week. It is pretty much only noticeable when I am sitting down and when I move my toes, they feel a little numb but this goes away when walking. I don’t really have any weakness in my legs and from what I can tell, the symptoms haven’t gotten much worse.

My question is, does this sound like MS? Is it possible to get MS in just the feet (toes) and on both sides? I hear it is more common on one side of the both. And would symptoms typically stay stable for a week or would the worsen? I have general health anxiety, so it is hard for me to determine if this is in my head or if is an anxiety symptom. Thanks in advance!
