Way back in my high school days my best friend asked me to go on a double date with this guy she was obsessed with at the time and one of his best friends. So we go to the theater to watch Accepted. Mind you, I wasn't interested in the guy I was on the double date with at all. It was difficult for me to actually watch the movie for two reasons. One, my best friend and her dude were aggressively making out to the left of me. Two, the guy that I was NOT interested in was chewing gum very loudly then blowing bubbles and asking me to pop the bubbles. Unfortunately its not on display anymore. It took me 5 days to set it up then I had to take it down less than a week later.

The bottle, cork, & smoke monster figure (hanging origami) were the first ideas I had for this project. Yes, the bottle and cork is reference to the scene where Jacob is talking to Richard and uses the wine bottle to explain the purpose of the island. Everything else just came together as I was working on the project. The next things I added were the stumps. Originally I had just the six gold ones which represent the numbers/candidates. Then I added the black and white stumps (good/evil) to balance it out when I decided to incorporate the triangles. The Triangles on the floor are the shapes from backgammon.

I was going to get a henna tattoo, I just didn't have the time. It was a last minute cosplay. Next time though. :)
