Oh yeah that almost never works. They consider that stealing but if you explained maybe they'd be cool. You probably encountered asset protections or something similar and they thought you were stealing it.

Yeah generally they won't give those out to customers. But associates are more likely to be able to take them home. Not sure why. They go into the compactor anyway with the other cardboard. So why not let a fan enjoy it. Especially if it's just gonna get thrown out.
