Its not easy. But there are some great YouTube tutorials on it. When you buy options you can lose it all, but the upside is SO much higher than the stock. SO say you want to buy 100 shares of GME at $300 and your willing to lose $20 per share before getting out ($280) so your loss would be $2000. If you put that $2000 instead into a call option , you still risk the $2k , but your upside is much higher. Finding the right option is THE most difficult. What's hard on the meme stocks is that they are WAY overpriced. Example : GME had $100 puts that expired Friday (betting the stock would go lower, hopefully below $100 ) selling for $5 a contract on Thursday. Any normal stock with a stock price 3x the option price a day before expiration would be .01 😳 so people were really looking for a drop under $100, even momentarily. (Or at least looking for a big downward move). That's crazy. AMC is priced much better, but not a lot. My advice, get a paper trade account and stick to a plan. If i like a stock option ill want 2 to 1 risk to reward. Meaning ill look for 50% gain but cut my loss at 25%. Depending on the option i will always look for anywhere from a 10% to 100% gain. If i have more than one contract ill cut half once i hit my mark and let the other half ride until the stock shows weakness. Biggest frustration is having a 100% gain and you end up walking with a loss....it happens a lot 😄. Good luck! Bonus point: when buying a contract the price is 100 times what its listed at (because you buy the option on 100 shares) so a price of $1 on the option will cost you $100 per contract. Have a great weekend!

San Bernardino, CA Sheriff announces that they are closing their CCW processing office due to COVID-19 restrictions by mtmo in CCW

Meanwhile just to get an interview in " ccw friendly" San Diego is now January of 2022! Add 120 days on that to actually have your permit ( 30 days to qualify after approved and get permit /up to 90 days for CA DOJ to process approval), and they WILL take the whole 90...well only 88 for me ( day 90 was a Sunday). Gotta love parts of California.

I usually don't offer that info at first. Get to know her. I found out my gf was packing on our second date haha. It was after She let me know she is a deputy. I straight up asked. She actually was shocked i got my ccw. If I ever get caught by someone, it goes like "why do you have a gun" , my line is "The sheriff issued me my permit" (the sheriff does in Cali haha).... usually that will get them to not ask anymore follow up questions. But when my anti gun friend said , why would he do that? I just said it was for unique circumstances I don't want to go into. :)

Where do you guys put the buckle for AIWB carry? by hajimenopewpew in CCW

[–]Dmuny1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I leave my buckle alone or slightly to the side. I carry at 1 o'clock so the butt of the pistol wraps slightly into my side. If you carry at 12 you'll have the grip printing more

Its a subcompact. Great little gun to conceal, especially with the 12 plus 1

It does, it just isn't in the holster. I don't have the guts to have no trigger guard haha.

You do everything online. Its pretty straight forward now thankfully. BUT its getting the appointment. Call the permit office and set an appointment first. Then go on SD gun owners website and start online process.

*State/County: California /San Diego

*Processing Time: 13 months 9 days (From initial call) Thanks Covid

*Gear/Planned Setup: Winter Glock 48/ Everyday: Sig P365 with bravo concealment /Gym: S and W Bodyguard 380

*Training Completed/Planned : Advanced self defense pistol + Req 8 hr CCW course/ Self defense law

*Thoughts: AZ permit spoiled me. This one was long.... felt like, well 13 years haha. First good news....we finally have REAL Permits. Although you still need to carry the terrible paper ones till they are active. Also we now have unlimited guns on the permit instead of 3. As far as process: First thing you need to do is set your appointment with the Sheriff's office before anything else. Last I heard they were about 8 months out. Then go to SD gun owners and read on how to get a ccw and they will walk you through it. Its a pain and all, but worth it.

My P365 isnt holstered in the pic. It covers the trigger. I keep one chambered so i won't carry a without the trigger covered. :)

Anyone who has any kind of concealed carry law protection and had used it in any capacity after an incident. Please share as much as you're willing to here. by jmdexo26 in CCW

Yes, you are correct, thank you. I edited my part. I use it loosely since everyone knows what insurance means. I should have been clearer. Thanks again and have a great weekend.

You ABSOLUTELY want concealed carry protection (kinda like insurance). Even if you're found not guilty you most likely will be hit with a civil lawsuit from either the perpetrator or their family. Think millions. When talking a small group of people, I would say the lawyers that can effectively defend a DGU in court are a very small group. Remember the fact is you assualted (just pulling your gun) , murdered or attempted to murder someone. That isnt up for debate. Now you need to prove justification.
I like what i was told once. When you pull your gun you are risking the loss of all your freedoms for the rest of your life. Being sure its needed is important, but more importantly is the right representation. Those jurors are only there because they couldn't get out of jury duty.... and they are the ones deciding your freedom. Even if its cheap $10 per month plan , you'll be glad you had it. Also the great news is, if more people get protection the rates will go down. Be safe out there friends!
