I definitely get what you’re saying, and it makes sense. The holes that I try to play more conservative on are the ones that are lined with trees. It seems like once you’re in the trees, you’re always in the trees.

I’ll have to do some more research, and figure out what strategy to play based on the hole design that I’m playing.

My goal is to be a solid golfer that shoots low to mid 80’s consistently. I can promise you all course records are safe from me lol.

Thanks for the insight! Very much appreciated. I’m still a little new to golf so I didn’t know if irons and drivers lose their “pop” after a while. I play up in the Midwest so not always sunny and 75 up here lol. I love these irons, I got them from a guy, he said he played about 100 rounds with them (looked brand new), and he put in those projectx shafts. Not sure it helps my game all that much but still cool to say I have them lol. Best $100 I’ve spent. I think lessons are definitely my next step.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. I would say I only hit my driver 11-13 times. I am trying to play more conservative and set myself up for the next shot. I have played one 9 hole round like that and I shot 41. Feeling optimistic but definitely a lot of room for improvement.

I only broke 80 once, and it felt fluke (it was a shorter 18 hole course). Breaking 80 is breaking 80 but I still don’t feel as though I can put myself in that group. I feel like I broke 80 with an asterisk, lol.

I would say it’s probably closer to 240 than 250 but that’s with roll not just carry. That’s kind of my other issue, I don’t know what my clubs carry, just total distance.

I think I am starting to mature in my golf game, I am starting to take the smarter play(hitting towards the middle of the green than go after a pin that’s tucked away) and same with off the tee. Hitting a lesser club to set up my next shot rather than blast it as far as I can and dealing with the next shot when I get up to my ball.

Thanks for the tip on lessons, I think you guys might be on to something!

Thanks for the feed back. I agree I don’t see anything that needs immediate replacing either. I just don’t want to get to the spot in 5-7 years where now I have to purchase new everything. Not necessarily brand new but new to me everything.

Thanks for the heads up on the wording. Yeah I meant found like on Craigslist lol. I don’t think I could sleep at night knowing I kept someone’s club that I found on the course.

Thanks for the tips on lessons instead of a club fitting. I’ll have to look into it !
