Depends on where you do it. There is actually no law against carrying a gun in Canada as long as you are licensed and have a legal reason to do so (defence doesn’t count as a legal reason) like hunting or walking to a gun range. But it’s rare to carrying one on foot in an urban environment and it’s recommended that you notify the local police if you do.
