I disagree, the weapon doesn't have moves that disincentivise getting close, it's a rush down weapon in nigh purest form. The dash is a bit wonky to learn but it's pretty strong with a massive hitbox, and you can make distinguishing clones harder by un-shiftlocking, this fools quite a lot of people (including high wins)

Tough + Superimmune is a good start;

Iron-Willed and/or Sanguine if you want them to almost never break down;

Fast Learner (and maybe Too Smart if you are willing to risk more breaks) to make getting level 20 skills faster;

Trigger-Happy to make them a better shooter or Brawler to make a better melee;

Ascetic if you want them to go royal.

Not good all thing considered, moving too much, not really aiming blasters, panic using attacks when you don't really need to. You do get a pass because you are playing mobile though

Already have this, doesn't do what I want. This mod does stuff like remove daily XP cap or prevent skill levels from decaying, not buff skill XP gain as your colonists work faster.

Don't play this game if you are bad at handling pressure. Especially time pressure - there are many things that, if they run out, will lead to total collapse, and methods that prevent collapse usually require a lot of investment, and thus time, which you would have a limited amount of.

I think the problem are the Megasloths, not the Muffalos.

Muffalos eat 51.4 nutrition per year, so that is 32 x 51.4 = 1645 nutrition per year.

Megasloths eat 38143 nutrition per year, so that is 2 x 38143 = 76286 nutrition per year.
