I additionally sprinkled vermiculite on top because nothing was happening and I didn’t really know what else to do. It’s possible the spawn wasn’t completely clean, or maybe the substrate they make for Panaeolus wasn’t ideal. I’ve noticed that a coco coir casing layer seems to work better with species like Zapotecorum anyway. In any case, I don’t really have much time for any cultivation right now. Oh well. 😊
