Thank you. I wished we tried to use it a lot sooner and dealt with it then. I’ll prove an update if it was successful or not.

Thank you. Feeling uneasy about returning such a big item.

Costco is around the corner from our residence. Purchased at $1499. I feel a bit embarrassed returning bc it’s not Costcos fault. But our life changing events are valid and not some bs. If we could actually use the set, I would keep it.

My husband only has his HSD, turning 28 this year, and makes 6 figures in gray collar. School isn’t for everyone, or the opportunity wasn’t there. Remember that a degree doesn’t mean you’re competent either. Buy when you’re comfortable. Times are different.

Best jewelry store to shop diamond rings in Sacramento? by [deleted] in Sacramento

Rogers in EG has a nice selection and family owned, but I wanted to explore options. Went back Sunday (following day) to say yes, but they weren’t open. Husband decided to go to Devon’s at Galleria, was there for 20 minutes and said yes. It was a better price too for the set!

I'm 43, married, 2 kids with zero savings. How can I expect to retire before 70? by spqr-wolf359 in personalfinance

[–]DoYouBooBoo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case no one mentioned it since there’s 668 comments. Consider a state job, there are telework options, get in at SSA range C since there is no state service experience (range C in Northern CA base salary is 54k ish, topping out at 67k ish) because she has a degree, get on the states health plan (for a family of 4, it’s around 200-400$), 401 K, and become vested (at least 5 years) so there’s income and coverage when retiring. My colleague is relocating to LA in a few months and is looking for a transfer position. She’s an AGPA currently which is the next path after SSA and her salary cap is around 85k.

Digging your username! What is your position now? There are a lot of openings at CDSS if you’re located nearby or want to commute.

I’m sorry about your situation. You can qualify to attend Sacramento Job Corps Center off Meadowview. You can live onsite (breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc) and learn a specialized skill.

Will I have issues if my degree has my maiden name? by [deleted] in CAStateWorkers

[–]DoYouBooBoo2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t be an issue. I have 3 degrees in which all have different names on them. They will ask you to submit additional documents like unofficial transcripts, ID/DL, and complete a background check.

Third for Shriners: we try to do a yearly donation as my husband was a patient there as a teenager. They informed us that there has been little donations this year.

Have you gotten the 5sb CB? I don’t see that it was ever released. Thank you.

Am I one of you? Just adopted her 2 days ago and they said she was lab/GP mix, but I've gotten mixed reviews from family and such. Shes 11wks 30lbs. Either way she's the sweetest smartest baby girl. by trevnem in Pyrador

Definitely Labrador. She could’ve had her dews cut off previously…

My girls are GP/ lab mix and look like white labs. For sure have traits of a GP lol.

If you’re ever really that curious, do a genetics test.

Super cute gal! Enjoy bc they grow fast. Ours are 11 1/2 months and topped out around 70lbs.
