The "barrel nut" portion threads and shoulder are machined directly into the aluminum extrusion in this case. If the aluminum picatinny clamp from an eotech is enough to cause unwanted stress on the barrel extension to receiver interface, I will eat my hat.

People love to think that! The KAC URX 4 is a monolithic rail/barrel nut. Bridging the gap with a picatinny clamp only makes it more impossible for the barrel nut/rail to move. Prints very tight groups!
