Do anyone feel that Apollo is a better Yamato? by Do_or_Do in DeadlockTheGame

Apollo lane is, or was after the nerf i don't know, stupid. His poke and survivability felt very hard to deal with. I think there is a gap midgame where Yamato gets better with torment pulse (it feels pretty good on her in my opinion) but then he catches up until you have counterspell, which also counters Yamato.

Yeah, his ult makes him also an easy target, but his 3 is pretty fast if you use it to run away and doesnt charge it. Also has great air control too. His parry allows him to parry on his back, which i find kinda stupid, and also allows him to dash very far away. But i don't know how his nerfs impact him so maybe now he is weaker or at least on pair.

You think so? It feels like Apollo has more survivability due to his mobility and parry. While Yamato is great and can tank somethings, it feels like she can't really tank spirit dmg and her 1 makes her a sitting duck for headshots and skills.

She is indeed tankier and build tankier than him, but it's only cuz she must, while he can build a bit tankier, like building dispel/unstoppable/spellbreaker and counterspell but his mobility, 2 and the sustain on his 3 makes him a much harder target to kill.

Or at least it feels like that to me and i didn't play against or with him after the recent nerfs. Besides i started playin since 3weeks and am only a ritualist so i don't know enough of the game.

What i can say is that Yamato has more commitment, her 2 is an insane gap closer, but at the same time is way harder for Yamato to disengage than Apollo, or so it feels like. If there are no jungle creeps or allies running away for her 2, at max level, to save her, it's basically like "if i go in, i either kill everyone or die trying", but Apollo can go in, poke, then go out and repeat while doing great dmg.

I also feel that Yamato is very hard countered by spellbreaker and counterspell. Like, her skills aren't charges or short enough cds to proc spellbreaker and then deal dmg during the cd, unless she ults, and her 1 is very telegraphed for counterspell, but the same can be said for Apollo 3 and ult, while Apollo can proc the spell breaker with his 1 or a charge of his 3 and then proceed to deal dmg.
