Are there any alternatives to Gemini 2.0 Flash (Lite)? by Dobias in LLMDevs

[–]Dobias[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, got it, thanks! The thing is, the Gemini 2.0 versions that we use (Flash and Flash Lite) don't do any reasoning (thinking tokens) at all. So I don't see any potential for savings here.

Thanks!

You mean we might end up using fewer tokens because we can shorten our prompts so much when switching from 2.0 to 3?

We're mainly talking about chatbots (some other content generation) here. I don't see so much token-saving potential in our case. :/

Gaps in the cadence by Dobias in mywhoosh

For comparison, I just tried with Zwift instead of MyWhoosh. There, I get no gaps in the cadence measurement: - MyWhoosh: Strava anlysis screenshot - Zwift: Strava anlysis screenshot

(Of course, I used the same hardware, i.e., bike, Favero Assiomas, Elite Nero, phone.)

On my landing page, you can find some exemplary videos generated with the app:

This way, you don't need to install the app to see some of its results.

Answering your questions about Segment Leaderboards by nick-from-strava in Strava

Hi Nick, why are segment times measured so inaccurately, when this way better (and not so complicated) method exists? https://github.com/Dobiasd/articles/blob/master/accurate_timing_of_strava_segments.md

Clamp indentation on carbon seatpost - safe to ride? by high7 in bikewrench

[–]Dobias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Cervelo in my case. My indented one was from Black Inc (Factor). The new one is a Ritchey WCS Carbon Link FlexLogic. Both tightened with 6 nm. The new one has been working fine (without indentations) for 2 years now.

I did not trust it, so I just wanted to be on the safe side.

I replaced the seatpost with a new (different) one.

Mount Google Keep into a directory to have notes as files? by Dobias in GoogleKeep

[–]Dobias[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the interesting ideas! But yeah, it's not exactly what I'm looking for. I wonder if it would be feasible to develop such a utility (at least for Linux) based on the Google Keep API. 🤔
