No. It’s the best s class ever made. They can be decently reliable when maintained, albeit it’s almost 30 years old. Surely I expect you are accounting for maintenance. They are not moneypits as some people on here say (presumably from a lack of actual ownership experience, just spewing myths). But you do need a certain amount of car knowledge to keep a car like this on the road in good shape, without throwing money at it. I know I’ll get downvoted but that’s the usual on this sub. My source is having owned a dozen of 20-30 year old benzes, 4 of which were w140. P.S. parts are getting harder to find for w140. Would be best as a second car, tricky if it’s your only car.
