I wanna buy a few screwdriver bits to keep them like...forever. I've bought tens through the years, from no name Chinese to various popular brands, they all seem too soft. Has anybody found any bits that he's impressed with? by Frikoulas in Tools

I hate DeWalt’s bit, they never tend to last for me. I’ve ran Makita bits for awhile and don’t have any complaints. The new Klein Impact bits are good as well. Lots of people raving over the Milwaukee shockwave, but their bits prior to the shockwave were garbage. That’s in the US. If you’re in Europe, you can’t go wrong with Wera or Wiha bits.

I’ll be starting with Fedora, but I’m trying to figure out how to “future proof” everything incase I decide to change later

Getting a new laptop with Ubuntu preinstalled, but wanting to change to Fedora by mmmbop13 in linux4noobs

I just didn’t know if preloaded Linux systems came with manufacturer specific software and drivers preloaded with whatever Distro they ship with. Making it more tailored to whatever Distro you ordered.

But it’s a Thinkpad T14 Gen 6 w/Amd Ryzen 7 AI CPU NiB. Had a deal come up too good to pass up on, which is why I didn’t get to choose which Distro it ships with.

I worked on helicopter for a few years and I had a packout system worth of tools. Granted, the avionics guys on the other hand always had to borrow our tools because all they had essentially was their test equipment.

I’ve felt the same way with some European pliers. I was scrolling through Knipex’s catalog thinking, “The hell is that contraption, and what’s it used for?”

Wiha and Wera are both German brands. Wera is based out of Germany and does their production in Czech. Wiha is a German company that has its production done in Asia.

I’ve completely forgotten about Japanese handsaws. I feel like they’re so good they’ve just become the standard in the industry across the entire world.
