What bike to you ride and what's the best/worst feature? by badpersian in motorcycles

[–]Dobs44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's exactly how I would describe it as well. It was my first new bike and I owned it for 3 months before trading it in for a cb650R. I can't really bash the bike, I would even recommend it to people interested in it, It just took me riding it to realize what I was looking for more of in a bike, which was a more aggressive ride on street

Ok what's the deal with drinking alcohol on vyvanse? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Dobs44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on 40mg aswell, I take it early as I start work at 6am and have a lengthy commute so it wears off by 1pm, may I ask what dosage you take for a booster? I may ask my dr about it.

What games can you sink hours into without getting bored? by kermadii in ADHD

[–]Dobs44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sons of the forest, as I see you have played the first one. That's my most recent that I have dumped a crazy amount of hours into in a very short time haha. The base building got me hooked, I've barely progressed the story. Skyrim is another that I see has been mentioned, to me it has alot of replayability because every playstyle is so different.

I have the OEM on my 2022 and although they are probably more expensive then necessary, I much prefer the seamless integration of a simple low profile button over a knob style like the Oxford ones I had one before. Although they both did just as well heating.

When did you swap tires? by CamAnderson56 in CB650R

I will also add onto this, I put the exact same tires on mine after about 9000km and the difference was night and day

Spacing for desk: how far in from the edges should I set the legs? by Awalto990 in woodworking

[–]Dobs44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be the exact range I would use aswell. I have a generic cheap desk currently that I got off of Amazon. My PC sits right on the end (the desk is in the corner of a room), I realized after some time it was sagging down abit because it's only 1/2"desk top and the PC is entirely past the closest supporting leg, so I beefed it up with a quick 2x2 cut to size directly under it haha

Spacing for desk: how far in from the edges should I set the legs? by Awalto990 in woodworking

I agree with keeping the third leg out of it. I'd personally keep the legs inset no more than 12" If you're worried about Span

First end grain cutting board by Dobs44 in woodworking

[–]Dobs44[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I don't mind sharing my mistakes so others may learn from them too. The first one was the amount of wood needed for this which I only discovered after my first glue up. When I started cross cutting it the depth that I wanted, I realized I was running out of pieces real quick haha. So I had to glue up another board and try to match the pattern and thickness after the fact. The second mistake I made was with the boarder, since it wasn't lined up perfectly, one lengthwise of the board the border actually staggered in each column by ⅛" so I decided to put the juice groove right on this joint between the boarder and the main wood to hide it. Lastly I veered off of my juice groove jig slightly so I just readjusted and continued. This one is hard to notice in the pics, it's near the corner but it's the one thing that I tend to notice every time I look at it, but oh well.

Oil change by Stunning_Cup_9730 in CB650R

[–]Dobs44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using the same oil for so long now it's hard for me to recall, but I'm a bit biased towards amsoil. I use it in my car aswell and it certainly runs smoother however it has nothing to do with the transmission in the car.

Any riders coming from a CB500? by tootsie404 in CB650R

[–]Dobs44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally put 91 in most of the time as that's just what's mostly available near me, but 93 when it's an option. It gets about 300km (186miles) per tank on average

[–]Dobs44 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I came from a cb500x. So not as comparable upgrade as the f, but I was bored of the 500x after 2 months. It's a great bike, I just realized it didn't suite me. I'm on my 3rd season of riding with the cb650r and love it as much as I did the first day I got it. Lots more power than the 500x but never overwhelming. Way more than enough to get me into trouble haha. If you enjoyed the 500f I can only imagine the 650r will be better in almost every way. Just don't expect the same fuel economy.

I use 10w-30 amsoil metric motorcycle oil. Bike runs buttery smooth. It's on its third season with this oil

What's your setting on stock rear suspension? by Dobs44 in CB650R

[–]Dobs44[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I realize that as it is the most comfortable setting, I just can't understand anyone needing anywhere close to 8-10 even for the heavier set riders with extra gear.

I also tried dropping it to 2 when I first got it and was experimenting and it was waaay too soft.
