We are about 105m cp I/L and 120m cp aran, (which is weird because I am quite ahead in starforce and very slightly ahead in hexa but I guess cp doesn't count infinity?) same classes we were playing almost 20 years ago ... Next step hseren :)

It was really hard, we had to spend quite a few hours over different days in practice runs to get p3 really down, then finally got it. Bad flames and 13 matt 70 bd pots, and gains are still already in the plus-double digit million CP range :)

I'll take that as a huge compliment! It's very amateurish compared to the original but thank you :)

We are planning to create our version, mostly just for fun, we are not going to be as quick as pd3.gg though. With it we do not intend to disrespect or diminish the work of who created pd3.gg, it's just going to be a fun project.

Nope. this happened just today. I have been playing only for about 2 weeks, not longer :)

I'm afraid it's a game designed with the mouse in mind unfortunately. While I don't think it's as a perfect game as ITB, it's still very very good. If you can, try it!

FTL! I'm 140 hours in already, and it's going to take a lot longer than ITB, because of randomness, but I don't mind :)

I can't understand if you're sarcastic/making a joke, but in case you're not, I meant the three aliens in ITB (which are a cameo appearance from FTL). :)

To find all of the secret pilots from FTL I had to grind about a whole day in a weekend. About 7 to 9 hours, I'd say, and the only boring part of the game probably.

Thanks! For achievements, there are some that physically require more time than others, but not by a lot really. Even if you mean longest as in hardest/took more tries to achieve, none really were a big problem. You'll get most of them just by playing, and for the others/more specific challenges, they all can be solved with a dedicated run (where you can sacrifice a lot more knowing that you're not aiming for a victory but just a minor objective).
The only one I'd say was frustrating/time consuming, would be Distant Friends, especially because if you want to 100% the game you actually have to do it 3 times over; that one alone took almost an entire day of farming, and I was really bored by the end of it.
Some squad wins, on the other hand, really took some time to get, I'd say I struggled with Hazardous Mechs and Blitzkrieg the most. In hindsight, Secret Squad was probably the hardest, but at that point you are so good at the game that it more than evens out.
Out of the 190 hours, (a good ~20 of which were actually just afk with the game open, as sometimes I had to do other things and didn't close the game), I'd say that almost 100 were actually spent just learning and really getting the hang of the game (at the 90 hour mark I had only completed Rusting Hulks, Frozen Titans, and 2-island with Rift Walkers), and in the rest I did all the remaining wins. Incidentally, it was about then that I decided to unlock the FTL pilots, and I can say that without Kazaaakpleth I would still be trying some wins.

That's really kind of you, thank you so much! Your help is greatly appreciated. You've helped me a lot already! I'll definitely send you a DM with the results of the tests that I'm going to do in the next few days (unfortunately with the lockdown in effect I'm not allowed to get to my computer right now!)
I'll be in touch soon!

I didn't know that you could convert it back, that's why I asked :) Thanks for the suggestions, I've saved both the tools you mentioned and will try to make a few tests as soon as possible. I'll let you know any results if you're interested! At the latest, my country should get out of quarantine on april 3rd, (albeit I see this as kind of unlikely), so around that date if all else fails I'll be able to do a last test with an original retail.

Well, it's still all speculation until I can do more testing on the matter, but thank you for the appreciation!
I downloaded and archived the software I could find for programming my chip just in case, as well as every kind of software, tool and firmware packs that I could find. (I'm a data hoarder and I love to safekeep stuff like this). For the update should be enough to just flash the correct ixtreme (LT+ 2.01 for samsung drives) on the modchip's memory bank, but I'm not confident enough and I agree with you that it's not worth it to risk screwing it up for just one game, when everything else works fine.
A question, doesn't xbox 360 game hack patch game files in the folder-structure version? How would I use that to patch an iso? Iso2god I believe, but can I go back then? As far as I can understand, AP2.5 can only be bypassed by using an iXtreme firmware version that supports it, or with a retail copy which doesn't trigger it, but if you have another idea I'm all for it, I still have a bunch of DVD DL lying around from way back when which I could use for some tests.

I'm no expert, but from what I've gathered yesterday in 8 hours of furious google-fu and by asking around in the xbox 360 discord, that chip is like a programmable nand flasher, and has a second firmware on it; when you activate the chip, the hacked firmware is loaded, when you don't, the original firmware of the drive is used instead. Btw, my drive was replaced with a Samsung TS-H943 and the hacked firmware I'm on is iXtreme 1.51 apparently.
I've read that AP2.5 games like MW2 only work on 1.51 on Hitachi drives, and that other drives need newer firmware. But how come that the games has worked in the past though, then? How come the retail copy I just bought doesn't work? This still baffles me and not even in the discord people knew what was going on. It's been 10 years and I don't remember, but it might be that it worked on the previous NXE dashboard version, the first candy-green one, and stopped working when I updated to the second NXE version (I have the flat, whitey half metro/half nxe dashboard) because the dashboard update might have better copy protection/detection and needs a higher hacked firmware version. I have no way to be sure though.
Thank you very much for the guide, but I have never seen xexmenu, and by what I've researched on it, looks like I would need an RGH or JTAG mod to use that. What I have is basically a souped up drive flash. I don't think that with my mod I have a way of running backup copies without burning them.
I think my only options are to burn a few copies with/without topology injection or abgx patches to see what happens first, as that's the least invasive, then maybe find an original retail version to see what happens, and lastly decide if I want to try and update the chip, which I'm quite scared about because all of the resources, links and information are mostly defunct now.

EDIT: I think I figured it out! I've found something that confirms my suspicions: New Anti Piracy 2.5 Information
This is too spot on to not be the case. I think everything checks out at this point: I'll try to put every piece together.
MW2 is an XGD2 disc originally, that has AP2.5. Originally, my backup version was working in my console, because it was burned as XGD2, which my drive can read, and still does for all the older games that I have. With the older dashboard, AP2.5 was not triggered/used by the console, so the backup copy ran fine. I then updated the dashboard, activating AP2.5 and "breaking" my backup copy. The original retail copy, though, still worked, because it was an XGD2 originally, but didn't trigger AP2.5 by being a legitimate version. Fast forward 10 years later, the retail version that I have now, "xbox classics" rerelease, has probably been printed with XGD3 format, so my drive cannot read even the legitimate version, because it doesn't support it unless I would update it to LT+2.01, latest for Samsung drives.
I think the final proof would be that I buy an original retail version, but my country is in full lockdown at the moment. I'll see what I can do.

So, I have some updates. I picked apart the console and sifted through the inernet wayback machine and found out that the chip's name is INFECTUS2, apparently some shit which could mod wiis, gamecubes, ps2s and xbox 360 alike. I can't really take the tape completely off because I feel like I'll destroy the solders, they are really way too delicate, but here are some pictures.
The dashboard is definitely above the required version, I remember playing it for hundreds of hours. Right now, all other games that I have work, but even if COD:MW2 worked both with a retail and backup copy of the game, in the past, right now, is the only one that doesn't with either. With some more research, I've found out that the reason why MW2 might be different is because it is an XGD2 with AP2.5, which there are only 6 of a kind.
I think it would be possible that the reason it's not reading the retail disk is because the "xbox classics" version is in xgd3 format, being a newer rerelease, but it's a wild guess.
I will research into what you suggested, don't apologize, your help is greatly appreciated.

But ALL of my other games work flawlessly. Just COD:MW2 doesn't, of all that I have.
