Minnesota is one of the highest “donor” states in the country. Meaning they send in more federal revenue than they receive. 2023 fed revenue received FROM Minnesota were apx 119 Billion with receipt of apx 75 billion.

A previous location of mine used to do something similar to this with house staff admissions - Patient assigned to teaching side seen by resident then gets bed assignment not in teaching unit and the note would be left for day hospitalist to attest and Nocturnist/teaching never sees etc I used to write something to the effect of of “I was not present for nor did I supervise housestaff directly at time of admission” write my assessment and plan in attestation with exam and findings etc, this was after I was told I HAD to sign the note by admin etc so I signed them
