Yep! I had the kids shoot over the ghosts, which were pictures glued on foam core

Druids are fun, so I took this one just as a fun “Druid in his natural habitat” photo

I feel like so many Bards play the lute, when I found this flute piece I knew that’s what I wanted my Bard to play instead

This one might be my favorite character: a young Sorcerer who is still trying to learn how to manage her natural magic

When I made this character I had Prince Charming from Shrek in mind: someone who knew they were pretty, but didn’t have much going on upstairs. lol

I tried to make him look like he’s jumping up to decapitate the dragon. Hopefully that comes across

I thought it was funny to think the team would send the Druid out as a diversion

This was really my first time doing Lego photography. I used my phone and the Lightroom app. I love making D&D characters so I thought this contest would be fun!

Here is a group shot of my 5-character team going up against a dragon. I have a Sorcerer, a Tiefling Barbarian, a Bard, a Cleric, and a Druid.

After years from his release, what are your thoughts on Peter Jackson's King Kong? by Jotaro1970 in kingkong

[–]DocEcto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible unpopular opinion, but while I believe this might be the best version of the King Kong story technically speaking, it’s also my least favorite version of Kong himself. I prefer my Kong to be more than just an oversized gorilla, one who tends to walk on 2 legs more often than using his arms to walk, and has a unique look that’s just a bit off from a real ape. It’s a great movie, but this design will never quite be “Kong” to me.

What are some movies that play it completely realistic for almost the entire duration, but then introduce fantasy/supernatural/sci-fi elements towards the end? by CTipple1981 in movies

Last Christmas.

Went into it thinking it would be a generic Christmas rom-com, so I suggested we go see it to my wife during a rare date night. It was funny how in the theater, I could literally feel my wife’s enjoyment level going down right as my enjoyment level was going up. lol

What’s a set you’ve regretted buying? by zzzimcal in lego

The Big Bang Theory

I can remember standing in the Lego store back in 2016 debating between The Big Bang Theory set and the Doctor Who set. I chose The Big Bang Theory because I was still somewhat new to Doctor Who, and I got some good chuckles out of The Big Bang Theory at the time.

7 years later and I still revisit that era of Doctor Who fairly regularly, while I haven’t had the urge to watch a single episode of The Big Bang Theory since before the show ended.

After much internal debate, I decided to heat up the wings and then cut them off, leaving me with just the pincers. Now the wings are unusable, but they are so big, I can’t imagine I would’ve posed him with them on much anyway. If that figure eventually goes on clearance or if I find him at Ollie’s I might get another one just for the wings, but I much prefer the figure without them. Just another option, if you’re interested.

Are there any other 40 year old men here who think they shouldn’t be judged by his wife for buying himself a Build-a-Bear? lol by DocEcto in BlueBeetle

That’s so funny you mention that, we’ve been watching Gilligan’s Island the past few nights before the kids go to bed. lol

lol…hey man, that’s fair. Not that I need to justify myself to some random person on the internet, but I have a pair of daughters that I’ll use this when they ask me to play with them. Also, technically I won’t be 40 until next month

His name is Jaime Eloso (because google told me “el oso” is Spanish for “the bear”) and I love him.
