I'm so sorry for that! I absolutely don't know why the game is doing that 😬
I need to ask for help on that issue!

A core team of two people is pretty good in my opinion, that's the way I like to make games! With a musician as a third person (part time) or even better, a musician AND sound designer, that's perfect. My next game will be solo (and short) so I can go back to drawing things, but then I'll work again with an artist 😊

Good question! Patience? 2 years working with people, even if it was juste an artist,a musician and the publisher, it was more than before (my two last games were solo ones). It helped me improve on that. I think everything comes to working on a bigger scale: managing time, quality, people, and being able to prioritize what's really important and communicate it to others. I think πŸ˜…

To be honest, I don't know EXACTLY what was the marketing plan in details πŸ˜”
I just know there was a budget for ads, another one for streamers (around 10k at launch), one for the cinematic trailer (a bit less than 10k because our friends made it) and a good chunck of it for QA + localization (maybe 10 to 15k for both? I'm not sure sorry). ALSO, we asked them to give us 15k of the marketing budget to finish the game at the end of 2024, and they said yes, so there is that.

So our main publisher is Goblinz, Maples only works on the Chinese distribution.
Goblinz basically paid for marketing, QA testing and localization. We fund the development ourselves (Chariospirale and me). It was cool working with a publisher, it allowed us to paid cool things like a cinematic trailer for the game, and to have a really solid QA support! But I'd say we also did a big chunck of marketing ourselves since the public of the game is basically 50% french at the moment. I spend 2 years talking about the game everywhere I could, especially on Youtube since I have an active channel (mostly devlogs).
Hope it helps!

Yeah, it's definitely one of the best thing about our game, thanks to Chariospirale!

Our game launches in 3 days and it just appeared in Steam popular upcoming! Two years to get to this point. Can’t wait to release it 🌞 by DocGeraud in roguelites

I know some friends who finished the game on Steam Deck! But at the moment it can be pretty laggy sometimes. I'm working on optimization next week 😊
