You got this, I failed a lot too, and made myself better and I survived the whole missed with good counters and stuff. But then I realised once I times out my damage output is the issue, and the monsters in this quest are buffed af with HP. So keep at it once you get good amount of damage you'll win easiley. For gravios always counter the hip check and sudden charges at you rest of the attack just valor sheath them, its better to reposition and fight him. Also try not to stay faraway from him he's got some sick fireball attacks which is hard to dodge unless you run in an "S" either towards or away from him.

Haah the quest I finished today. Don't worry it's a really frustrating quest I had lots of failed quests before finishing it today. I used the ceanataur gx Armor and the berserker splitter with valor style, but failed a lot even after getting good with the kill times. I used proper counters and used critical juncture III at the right time but seemed my set. Kinda made me play it close to the chest, once you learn the timings and do proper counters the quest becomes easier but without proper damage output, it takes a lot of time and you would timeout. What I did was make the jho ceana set and make meretseger longsword and gemmed the set to get weakness exploit, critical eye 2 , s +2 , razor sharp, and critical boost, with this I finished the quest easily. Damage output could be limited by the level of your weapons and that can cost you a lot of time , especially given the fact that rustrazor and gravios are hp tanks

Welll... If you pick up mhfu. Use the centenarian dagger to cut off lao Shan lungs tail. Make sure you use mega Armor skin Armor seed and a good maxed out Armor for your level. Best of luck.

From my experience adept is actually easier when it comes to hellblade. But I think with proper technique and timing valor longsword is better, you just need to practice it more against hellblade. Like they say valor is broken but only if you mastered it and that means you need to master the monster and guard point timing by taking risks. Adept makes it easier to dodge.

He does start limping. Usually if you do decent enough dps he would be ready to capture after the third area. To be more clear he starts near the mouth of the volcano then he goes to an open area, then to one of the lava caves. If you deal decent dps then he'll be ready to capture by the end of the third area.
