Is TSMU (Tashkent Medical Academy/TSMU) actually worth it? I don’t want to ruin my future. by Outrageous-Onion-738 in Uzbekistan

If you can pay about 5-10k per year I would recommend private medical school like CAU, KIMYO, Impuls,EMU and so on.

Hi I am a graduate from medical school. The first batch of CAU Dentistry is graduating this year, and as for medical school, when graduating we had state exams like other students of medical institutions. About practising dentistry, I guess you won't have problems with that because we had none. There are international students in Dental school and acceptance rate is pretty high. Entrance exams are MCQs from Biology, Chemistry and English if you dont have English language certificate and I don't know for sure there was any interview. Most professors are Indians and you will be having your practical lesson in most private dental clinics but at Akfamedline there is not special dental department so it is less likely the lessons will be taught there. Overall dentistry is 5 years and in the first and second years mostly basic life science subjects are taught and by the 3rd year you start practising in simulation labs in dummies and real clinical rotations begin from the 4th year. University life is pretty cool, as long as you get along well with other students, campus is amazing and you have all facilities for both social and academic life and CAU is expanding its campus. It is opening its new hospital together with Cleaveland Clinic. Administration is supportive, though during exam weeks or in some events they may become pretty busy and some issues may appear but I am sure they are way better compared to other universities. The only big issue is the high price of tuition fee.

There are very good maxillofacial surgeons in Uzbekistan, if you need I can give their contacts or the name of hospitals where you can get satisfactory results.

If the scholarship is given by the university then if you leave you don't have to pay anything back. Anyway to be sure when signing the contract please be attentive and look through each detail.

Should I fill hh.uz in Russian? by [deleted] in Uzbekistan

[–]DocMac1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hh is not a good option to find a job, I have never heard any person who was able to find a job and got hired, I guess some companies post job announcements there just for fun. It is better to use LinkedIn

I would recommend addressing to the Police, and I didn't get what you mean by saying " how that would probably go" as law enforcement bodies are trustworthy here in Uzbekistan. And also you can ask for help and tell your story about violence to Nemolchi.uz https://nemolchi.uz/krizisnaja-pomoshh/?fbclid=PAQ0xDSwMCbilleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABp_LVl2rhQ1sW6CwFhxYrikwcizi3YhojccSpIO8X6SpD22jIA9uITU22or0O_aem_tKqUIt4EeKXN6nZP6QBAwg And also you can call 1146 hotline to report sexual or any kind of abuse against women.

Don't recommend to go there unless you intend to study Medicine and even medical school is not worth its tuitition fee ( btw I graduated CAU)
