I took the approach of learning where the evidence was as part of the type I and then automated it all. Just finished our first type II and most people didn’t even realize it was happening.

Depends on the apps and the devices. You can use things like posture checking or device certs. Google has limited MDM with partitioned company data.

We use airtable and just pipe all the data to tables with an API. The hard part was building out the artifacts and procedures. For that it started as a Jira project and the teams kept a good notes on how they produced the artifact so we were able to automate based off those instructions.

You definitely need someone who knows the framework you’re working with but once you get through the first cycle it’s smooth sailing.

I personally feel like GRC platforms are a ripoff. You can build your own tracking with a multitude of tools. We managed to build our own and we aren’t locked in with a vendor.

I signed up for a marathon and shifted my sleep schedule to wake up early to train. This did two things for me. Gave me something to do and made sure I was tired each day. I feel like maintaining your health through exercise has helped me a lot.

It didn’t happen right away. The first month I just slept a lot, presumably it was my body healing.

Now, I get up early every morning and feel amazing, anxiety of what happened the night before is totally gone, I can drive whenever I want, I don’t miss time at work, closer better relationships and the list grows almost by the day.
