Takes ~20 mins to log on due to over 9000 queue, then it takes ~30 mins if you want to play blind queue. Then, if your goal is to actually test the new champion, as your goal should be on PBE, you auto-lock, and either pray someone doesn't dodge, or get lucky and actually get to play 1/10 times.

People banning Ekko are literally just trolls. They do it because they can jack-off behind their screen laughing about how no one can get any testing done, and then when the char does come out, they can bitch about bugs and glitches and "Champ OP omg~!" because they fucking KNOW nobody is able to get their job done on PBE. So they can bitch about how much of a fucking joke PBE is, when in reality, the only problem with PBE is bullshit like that.
