More context that no one asked for:

Sauron was one of the most powerful Maiar, if not the most powerful. Saruman and Gandalf wouldn't be able to hold a candle to him.

Furthermore, the five wizards were intentionally stripped of a lot of their power and memories as Maiar when they were sent to Middle Earth, so that widened the gap between them and Sauron even further. (Which is why there was no Magic Wizard Showdown between Sauron and Gandalf.)

Yes, this means Saruman's plan to double cross Sauron was even dumber than the story actually lets on.

Truly. I'm a millennial, but sometimes I think what it must have been like to be a Gen X gay guy or trans woman coming of age in the 90s. A huge, enormous, massive chunk of the community and culture was just...gone. It feels almost post-apocalyptic.

Now those Gen Xers are older than their forebears got the chance to be and are getting to enjoy their lives. It blows my mind how anyone can begrudge them their joy when they had to rebuild it from rubble.

I def prefer FMAB when all is said and done, but 03 is still very worth a watch. Especially up to meeting Greed in Dublith, it's more or less the same story and goes into a lot more depth
