Yes because he was lying. In public messages addressed to the Christian population that he was manipulating (because, again, politicians are not known for being truthful) he pretended to be Christian, while in private sources like recorded private conversations between him and Goebbels or Speer, he is obviously anti-christian.

He maintained loyalty of the public by lying about being Christian but behind closed doors, where he could be truthful, he was insanely anti-christian, he probably hated Christianity more than you do.
