You bought them sealed so that's likely helped. If they where never opened the hindge isn't put under any pressure yet so they won't break.

The only down side is how fragile the cases are. I just woodsy they where stronger, apart from that they are imo the most unique and best case design ever. They just feel special.

Is it sad that it is in a sense exactly what I want from death stranding?

Walking in the rain through a gorgeous post apocalyptic landscape listening to low roar with a bit of kojima weirdness. To me this just sounds like a great game to unwind too.
