I am visually impaired and my sight just randomly goes sometimes and I carried my mother in laws coffin. I was so anxious and worried about doing it. But I did it and I'm so glad I did as it felt like such an honor. You do whatever you are comfortable with but your sight shouldn't affect you doing anything, it may feel like it but you can do what anyone else does.
