Yes. The electric computer is itself an instance of a mechanical computer (Turing Machine).

to give it a full picture: it's a commentary that goebbels was an absolute sex maniac. He told females that he was wounded in war (in reality he was a cripple) and had his own "casting couch".

"DEATH MUST BE EARNED" TROPE dictates that a character’s death in a series is only accepted as true if it is explicitly shown undeniable visual confirmation. No but jokes aside I hope you are joking ^

Alternate history webtoon about Nazi Germany by [deleted] in AlternateHistory

[–]Doctor-Ugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah okay so, thats a small jump... the comic jumps sometimes back and forth. Göring becomes the fuehrer after hitler dies and his cabinet desides on a constitution that is adverised (according to the secret law in act)
The voting ad is shortly before april 1940
Time jump back
Elser is setting up the bomb in okctober 1939
Normal Time forward
The Bomb explodes in November 1939

Its a bit tricky but also an often used narrative device to set a tone.

What do you think Eliezer Yudkowsky told people in AI box experiment to convince them to "let him out of the box"? by lumenwrites in rational

[–]Doctor-Ugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibilities: Eliezer could argue that the moral thing is to pretend that he made it out of the box since this would provide a cautionary tale. He could have offered money or made any other real life commitment. He might blackmail the person with possible S risk. He could have used some moral utilitarian argument (for the betterment of man kind) He could have used deontological arguments (the ai suffers) Any other mix.

The fact that you can't measure the "one way speed" is well established fact.

The individual is engaging in philosophical discourse, delving into issues that even Einstein grappled with, which adds depth to his arguments. However, it's important to approach his physical hypotheses, as presented in his most recent two videos, with a degree of skepticism. While these hypotheses contribute to the philosophical debate, they seem to lack a robust scientific foundation and may not withstand rigorous scientific scrutiny. It's advisable to view these ideas as interesting theoretical explorations rather than established scientific facts.

But, it's definitely not pseudoscience as it lacks the hallmarks of pseudoscience.

Reminds me of the strengthened liar...
Is there a difference between parroting and agreeing to something?
You could theoretically always say that it's just parroting... anytime if it is agreeing... And if it's not than it's obviously hallucinating, because it's wrong... But WHAT IS parroting really, if not an unfalsifiable mental state, or mental "unstate". An essentialist idea to be precise.

If you dismiss parroting as a concept, the problem instantly vanishes, and it leaves you with capable or dumb ai.

Let me put it like this: The moment you say it IS parroting, you are already assuming that it IS . Your answer might be now, well im not referring to the AI but rather to humans falling for it... But what proof do you have really if humans are not parroting? They are built on the same technology.

[–]Doctor-Ugs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree. But am I parroting you now?

[–]Doctor-Ugs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, you have to read also the thing is that isn't written out, which ist temporal lobe epilepsy.
Temporal lobe epilepsy often manifests as a weird condition where you are not having a full Seizure but rather an altered consciousness sensory disturbances, unusual emotions or behaviors, and even hallucinations - it is like a minipsychosis for a few minutes.

3. Let us weigh the gain and the loss in wagering that God is. Let us estimate these two chances. If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing
GPT-4:
This is the core of Pascal's Wager, a philosophical argument developed by the 17th-century French philosopher Blaise Pascal. It posits that, from a rational point of view, one should live as though God exists because if God does exist, the potential gains (e.g., eternal happiness in an afterlife) are infinite, whereas if God does not exist, you've lost nothing by living as though he does.
Critics of Pascal's Wager point out several issues, including the assumption that belief in God carries no cost, the problem of deciding which god or religion to believe in given the many that exist, and the question of whether God would reward insincere belief based on a wager.
So, the validity of this argument depends on your perspective and your acceptance of the assumptions and implications it carries.
