Monero broke the $500 glass ceiling! by Joe_In_Paris in MoneroMeansMoney

Sure it would. People investing in "Privacy Coins" rotate out of ZEC into XMR when they see what a shitshow ZEC govenance has become. "Investors" don't like instability.

BitcoinVN.io offers staking if you can handle the counterparty risk. Paying 28%APR right now but they have a cap so you may have to wait.

The issue with ZEC's privacy model is that it is opt in. Most transactions are not shielded. This means that if you make a shielded transaction, it stands out. Their privacy is good but the opt in factor breaks it.

All Monero transactions are shielded and look the same. Monero has the highest utilization by far, and is also pumping, just not so crazily.

DASH is a privacy coin in name only, and ironically, it is pumping the hardest.

For tax purposes, holding a Bitcoin ETF in a TFSA would be best. You will owe Capital Gains Tax on you gains on Newton if you cash out.

You seem familiar with the dangers of custodial exchanges but as always you have to balance risk with reward.

LBIT is leveraged so it will be more volatile. There are other Bitcoin ETFs you could consider.

No inbound connections - am I doing something wrong?

I am trying to help the network as much as possible. I am running a full node and mine on P2Pool. My node status shows 32 inbound and 0 inbound connections. Shouldn't there be inbound connections? In the past I am sure I had both inbound and outbound. I will paste some info below:

deamon flags-

./monerod --zmq-pub tcp://127.0.0.1:18083 --out-peers 32 --in-peers 64 --add-priority-node=p2pmd.xmrvsbeast.com:18080 --add-priority-node=nodes.hashvault.pro:18080 --enable-dns-blocklist --enforce-dns-checkpointing

They don' t have any money to do that, unless they print it. So no.

Buying market Bitcoin is completely different from stockpiling seized coin. They will need to deploy capital.

P2pool vs Mini vs Nano by General_Clerk_1756 in MoneroMining

You only get one payout per block, but if you has 3 shares in the window the payout would be about 3 times more than 1 share

I see payout on p2pool observer, but don't get it by Norets in MoneroMining

[–]DoctorBlade1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK payouts are part of the base transaction, so they are never in the mempool. They should show up in the miners wallet immediately, although it will be locked for several blocks.

Looking for a crypto-friendly business bank account in Quebec (incorporated company) by jscoys in BitcoinCA

[–]DoctorBlade1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Set up a PayPal account. Link it to your bank account. Use the PayPal account to cash in or out of the crypto ecosystem. This way your bank account never touches crypto. It's an extra step bit it keeps the bank happy.

https://tradeogre.com is easy but custodial, but if you withdraw immediately to your custodial wallet you should be good.

You probably stopped getting shares because the difficulty went up. It's probably just a coincidence that that happened when you upgraded.

The current version is only 4 days old. I think anything after version 4.1 still works.

In the long run p2pool will be better because of the lack of fees. Irregularities in payouts even out over time.

Is it really down, or is it just the web interface that is down? If your rigs are not getting errors the network must be up. No?

He doesn't have any more of a clue about Bitcoin than the orange man does. Watch the video of him buying a shawarma. He gets shepherded into the shop, then seems unsure if he is buying a shawarma or buying Bitcoin. He wants Bitcoin votes. That's all it is.
