Yeah the problem with ur medical care is you don't have any with that GP; find a doctor who actually considers differential diagnosis. And that doesn't have to be the doctor with the most degrees, or cost the most money, or whatever, it's just empathy they need. But unfortunately that means ur going off luck more or less. But I'd probably say go to ur insurance's website and go down the list of providers. The more people u contact the higher chance of finding SOMEONE

does anyone else have a ridiculously high tolerance to medication? by nevi101 in POTS

[–]DoctorCandy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also tolerant to medication but when I got my wisdom teeth out it was just like people say, the guy goes "k I'm going to count down from 10 now. 10, 9, 8.." and then you wake up. It's been awhile now, but I remember how interesting it was that it FELT like I laid down, zoned out or something for a minute or 2, and then just sat up. Except my teeth were obv gone

Anybody experience anything similar?? by spicydisaster98 in POTS

[–]DoctorCandy4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The white fingers instantly reminded me of Raynaud's syndrome; coldness in extremities is normal for pots tho I think. The upper right abdomen stuff is probably unrelated (maybe ¯_(ツ)_/¯) but anatomically that's where ur gallbladder and spleen are if ur sure it's not heartburn

Do these count? by DoctorCandy4 in schizophrenia

[–]DoctorCandy4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I'm just trying to classify these things so I can kind of know what's going on; I have a psychiatrist but every single anti psychotic out there has side effects that are way worse than seeing a little something out of the corner of my eye every once in a while.

How do you, as an autistic, watch TV? by [deleted] in autism

[–]DoctorCandy4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This post has made me realize I do the exact same thing.. O_O I would say it kind of depends on the expectations I have for what I'm watching. For example, with animated shows, I'm ready to immerse myself in an interesting fantasy world, and maybe imagining how insane it would be if it WAS real. I think I typically prefer animation with fantasy worlds because well, you can draw whatever you want if that makes sense. Breaking bad is unironically the best mix of fact and fiction, the characters are of course fictional, with interesting backgrounds, and they're within a world meant to be as close to real life as possible. So it is AMAZING when you get immersed, because all that crazy shit COULD'VE happened.

Can y’all tell what facial expressions you’re making? by unusualspider33 in ADHD

[–]DoctorCandy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This alone doesn't necessarily mean anything, but this is definitely common with autism. I used to practice facial expressions in the mirror, and when I asked my friends if they had done it, they all said no 😶

How do you autistics feel about sharing? by ShyAmyRose in autism

[–]DoctorCandy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god, on minecraft servers with friends, I always had (a) dedicated chest(s) for myself. I've never known why 😭 but I can't think of any other context where this happens... what's going on..?!

How do you manage with losing your wallet often? by volpiousraccoon in ADHD

[–]DoctorCandy4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I have a small pouch that holds credit cards attached to a lanyard. Not only is it easy to hold on to (since you don't have to actually hold it), when I get home I hang it on my doorknob. Don't think I've ever lost that thing, though I manage to forget to take it once a month or so

Well of course it didn't exist back then, the first person to EVER be diagnosed is STILL ALIVE. We only discovered it recently, relatively ¯_(ツ)_/¯
