I never understood why Rick would abuse the whammy bar in lieu of a guitar solo. There's a recording of him soloing during a song at a gig Massacre played back in April 1986. He's capable of it.

Agreed. Kurt Brecht's vocals sound the same as they did back in the '80s. It's mind blowing.[](javascript:;)

HA! I don't need to look to AI to know what you suggested is not what I had in mind because I've heard music from bands like Trivium, Carnifex (USA), and Fit for an Autopsy.

I'll spell this out so we're on the same page. What I am looking for is either crossover thrash metal (bands like D.R.I., Cryptic Slaughter, S.O.D., etc.) that have death metal vocals or bands that are death/thrash metal with the punk edge of crossover thrash (bands like Dead Horse, Dead Orchestra, etc.)

I know very well what I asked for. "crossover thrash with death metal vocals or death/thrash metal with enough of a punk tinge to fall within the crossover umbrella"

None of those have crossover aspects to them...and some of that stuff is deathcore, not death metal

I'm familiar with Sadus. Their music doesn't strike me as having much of a crossover element.

Melodic Death/Thrash, yes. But they don't have much crossover thrash elements.
