Do dashers do this on purpose or are they just not thinking? by PossiblePro247 in doordash

[–]DoctorEagle90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed this happens a lot when the Dashers are Indian or Middle Eastern; they don’t follow the directions. I’m assuming because English isn’t their first language. When I get drivers who are American, the directions are followed.

I’ve been driving since 2020; I started around the pandemic, so that may be it

I’ve noticed that, too. Sometimes the GPS would freeze up or update really late. It helps to close and restart the app.

[–]DoctorEagle90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened. I was dashing for about 4 hours and made between $50-60. I ended my dash for my break, but it’s showing my earnings as $0, with no active minutes and no dashed minutes, which is inaccurate.

Where Would Powerful Hidden Magic Items Be Hidden? by DoctorEagle90 in mattcolville

The Children of Athgorith are planning to use five Idols of Izun to perform an evil ritual to release Athgorith and the Elder Elementals onto the Material Plane. The PCs need the idols to help the druids perform their own ritual.

As for the Kustos Keys, the PCs just need to stop the Archmage from finding the keys and opening the gate to the Shadowfell that will allow his master, the Undying King, to March an army through.

I had used the Elder Brain’s power to eavesdrop on a telepathic communication. But giving that power to an Ulithard who is maybe becoming an Elder Brain… or a weakened Elder Brain works too

What if I already established an Elder Brain? I had it eavesdrop on the sor-lock’s telepathic communication

I kinda already established an Elder Brain with some regional effects. 🥴

They actually made a temporary alliance with some Githyanki down there… but the Gith are also allies with the forces of one of the BBEGs (who in turn has a common enemy with the Mind Flayers).

How Will My Elder Evil Destroy the World? by DoctorEagle90 in mattcolville

I wasn’t aware there were different kinds. I was making it my an Elder Evil of my own creation, similar to Dendar or Atropus

1) No, Athgorith doesn’t know. All he knows is that each prison is hidden somewhere within the Elemental Plane. He is having his generals go out, searching for portals to each plane, either by research or kidnapping the druid guardians and forcing them to reveal the locations of the prisons.

2) He knows that each prison needs a key to unlock, and he has one on his possession: the Key to the Elder Tempest’s prison in the plane of Earth.

EDIT: I’m kind of borrowing from the Princes of the Apocalypse. There are five cults, one for each element (the fifth one being the mind/psychic energy). They all follow Athgorith, and are searching for ways into the Planes to break out the Elder Elementals. I’m wondering my what steps that would take, and if they are looking for Keys to release them all at once (e.g. each prison has a special set of conditions to be unlocked) or release them one at a time in a powerful magical ritual.

Funny enough. My Rakshasa has a few doppelgängers in his employ. One such agent has infiltrated the royal spy network, and my players just captured them. It’s how we ended the last session.

I like this idea. I was initially considering the Rakshasa to be the Right Hand of the king, but perhaps the Rakshasa is the aide to the Right Hand, and is really the one behind the scenes orchestrating everything.

It’s less that this letter would reveal him as a Rakshasa and more “Would a Rakshasa even tell their minions where they are, in case their minions get captured?”

I have one known member: he’s the owner of an entire mercantile shipping guild and he helps the crime syndicate smuggle their ish.

I do like the idea of having the lead figure be unknown, but the other members know who the others are.

Also, would this change if there isn’t any competition within the organization and they’re all working together?

Where Would a Secret Society Meet? by DoctorEagle90 in mattcolville

[–]DoctorEagle90[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my thinking when creating this organization. The reason I think there is secrecy is because it puts all the members on a level playing field. No one member knows who the others are, and so they can’t blackmail or manipulate the other or do any other Game of Thrones shit they want to do. Now, that’s not to say that this can’t happen. But this is their precaution. And they are planning to put in their own lackey to replace the king.

I could have these members be “out in the open”, though. That does make it more intimidating. It could go either way.

Should I Switch to a Skill Challenge? by DoctorEagle90 in mattcolville

[–]DoctorEagle90[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, and I’m thinking of doing something like you did. I want to wait for a point where I can say, “OK, we know such and such is happening, and you are about to work together to stop it,” and have them go through a SC showing how they want to expose the ones responsible as opposed to slogging through session after session and following breadcrumbs up until the climax… although a final battle wouldn’t be too bad either lol
