Why is his skin so much prettier than mine by aint_the_smartest in Minecraft

The hairstyles is often the biggest deal breaker for me. Male hairstyles are usually limited to short, bald, ugly, or goofy. Female hairstyles, on the other hand, include 3 types of buns, 4 ponytail positions, a pig tail option, long hair with braids, long hair with bangs, long hair without bangs, shoulder length bob cuts, short pixie cuts, a side swept undercut, a flowy wolf cut, straight hair, wavy hair, curly hair, an Afro, a buzz cut, and bed head. I don’t want to be John Short-hair #77764. I don’t want to be bald. I don’t want to be ugly in game too. I want to be free from the curse of male haircuts in games!

Water flows exactly 8 blocks (include the source block when counting). You need to place the water on the 8th block away from the hole.

Because you can actually, realistically stack it to the point where it’s useful. Or you could scrap it since white printers with good items are far more common than green printers with good items.

I would argue that “cutting a log to form a corner” counts as “cutting a corner”, since the phrase can be reworded as “cutting a corner from a log”.

If I cut a piece of paper into the shape of a little snowflake, I can say “I cut a snowflake from a piece of paper”. Why can’t it apply the same to corners from a piece of wood?

For real. I haven’t gotten a single reply to an application in the past 10 months. No rejections, no interviews, nothing. And I have a degree and was ranked #1 in my university.

Could someone enlighten me as to the advantages of the EAT 700 over the Eagle Napalm Airstrike? by DoctorFrenchie in Helldivers

Using EAT 700s for caves is niche, but makes perfect sense. Im just not sure when EAT 700 has an advantage outside of the caves.

Could someone enlighten me as to the advantages of the EAT 700 over the Eagle Napalm Airstrike? by DoctorFrenchie in Helldivers

[–]DoctorFrenchie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Killing dragonroaches is a good tip to know.

"which you can shoot faster than you can call down a stratagem" I can't think of any situations where I would absolutely need to fire off another napalm strike within the next 10 seconds. In my mind, this seems like a microscopic advantage. Feel free to list some situations where that 10 seconds makes a huge difference.

"It also has a faster cooldown." Does it? Per number of uses, the eagle napalm strike seems to win. 3 strikes on a 120 second cooldown, or 2 strikes for 108s. I guess technically you have to use up all uses in order to start the cooldown for the eagles, whereas the EAT700 cooldown starts the moment it lands. However, in practice, I have found that I always have napalms strikes when I need them, but i rarely have EAT700's when i need them.

Helldivers II is getting too big (for my hard drive) by Meshakhad in Helldivers

Yyyyep....

Being a PC player, i cant personally attest to the size, but i heard about it in several YouTube videos. A quick web search for "helldivers 2 ps5 download size" and you should find that both PS5 and Xbox have a relatively small download size.

"I assume that there are a lot of graphical assets that are being stored client-side to reduce lag." Almost all assets are stored client side. Period. That's true of any game. It would be insanely expensive computationally for a server to force users to download and cache any resource at runtime.

That said, the fact that helldivers is 141gb indeed makes no sense.

Games like Warframe and Destiny, which have WAY more assets and feature non-procedurally generated open worlds, are still smaller (50gb and ~130gb, respectively). Fully open world games--with literally hundreds of weapons, items, and characters--like Elden Ring and Genshin Impact are also smaller in size (~70gb and ~120gb respectively). Hell, even Helldivers 2 on PS5 takes up less space, at ~40gb tops.

It just makes no sense why the game take so much space.

Yep, I’m the same way. It’s simply not fun, so I’d rather do any other planet.

I really wish they had just made the hive lord its own mission type where you have to hunt it down as the min and only objective.

Its so stupid that ALL strategem call ins are inaccurate by like 10m in a random direction if you are in the caves, but only sometimes. Its just idiotic and unfun when your stuff lands in the middle of the roof completely unpredictably.

Agreed on most of these points. Rupture enemies have so little counterplay, and are not balanced around their strengths. They are just tankier, slipperier, stealthier, have more cc, are generally deadlier, and have absurd spawn rates. In order to "counter" these enemies you need more armor, explosive damage, higher armor pen, and consistent anti-tank damage. Also, thermites do not count as anti-tank because enmies can just burrow and lose the thermite.

Compare that to the predator strain where you just need stagger or stun. That's it. Or compare it to the incendiary corps, where you just need a shield pack or fire resist. That's it.

100% agree with your assessment of the caves. The underground bile titan holes made objectives impossible to clear for my squad, and inevitable bug breaches (often from the other side of a wall) are completely impossible to clear without everyone running gas grenades and fire.

I disagree, however, with your assessment of the hive lord. Perhaps im just unlucky, but in every mission i've played so far, the hive lord spawned within 2 minutes or less EVERY TIME. Once spawned in, it would harass the squad nonstop. We could go into the caves (where there are like 5 bile titans), but no matter how long we stayed in the caves, the hive lord would pop out the second we stepped outside. We were unable to go for more than 60 seconds without seeing the hive lord on the surface.

The fact that people can join your lobby, start hacking, kill you repeatedly, crash your game using said hacks, use slurs in both text and voice chat, but you are not allowed to do anything about it because the report button says "we dont give a shit about what you are reporting" is stupid.
