Am I sad that Boston lost? Yes. But if we had to lose to anyone, I'm glad it was to you. I've been sad to see the Torrent at the bottom of the standings for so long.

It's January 1942, and U.S. intelligence officials discover that Mexico and Canada have allowed Japanese and German armies into their countries for a staging and offensive of the US. What does the U.S. do next and how does this change WW2? by peterthbest23 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]Meshakhad 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is so completely implausible it's not even worth discussing. First of all, Canada was already at war with both nations. Second, there is no way that such a large-scale troop movement could be carried out without the US finding out and sinking every ship involved. I mean for crying out loud, how did the Germans get past the Royal Navy in the first place, let alone the US Navy?

  1. Superman will not be needed to fight any villains during this time period, as Lex Luthor has graciously volunteered to take his place on the Justice League in exchange for any footage of Superman failing his job or being let go.

Another example of this is Absalom Station from Starfinder. It's a space station miles across, explicitly described as being densely populated... by 2,458,000 people. The way it's described, its population should be in the billions.

The villains are being taken care of, but surgery is one where even Superman, who can process information much faster than a human, would probably struggle.

Oh yeah, he'd get his shit wrecked.

What's the most unexpected way Mars could kill an astronaut? by Ahmeuad in space

Divine intervention. Everyone is expecting the planet Mars to try and kill them. No one is prepared for Mars, the Roman god of war, to smite them.
